A Priest was about to finish his tour of duty, and was leaving his mission in the jungle where he has spent 20 years teaching the natives when he realizes that the one thing he never taught them was how to speak English.

So he takes the chief for a walk in the forest. He points to a tree and says to the chief, 'This is a tree.'

The chief looks at the tree and grunts, 'Tree.'

The Priest is pleased with the response. They walk a little further and he points to a rock and says, 'This is a rock.'

Hearing this, the chief looks and grunts, 'Rock.'

The Priest was really getting enthusiastic about the results when he hears a rustling in the bushes. As they peek over the top, he sees a couple of natives in the midst of heavy sexual activity.

The Priest is really flustered and quickly responds, 'Man riding a bike.'

The chief looks at the couple briefly, pulls out his blowgun and kills them.

The Priest goes ballistic and yells at the chief that he has spent years teaching the tribe how to be civilized and be kind to each other, so how could he kill these people in cold blood that way?

The chief replied, 'My bike.'

Politicians in Ghana have taken the citizens for granted. The reason is that the ordinary citizens haven`t taken a stronger stand against what they do. This gives them the chance to say whatever they like and also do things that go against the development of the nation. Chiefs do not involve themselves in politics but since they`re citizens, they have the right to say something when things aren`t going the right way. Again, politicians should know that political positions aren`t forever and there will be a day they`d be out of government. At that time, they`d have no say anymore. In black African countries, politicians are kings themselves. One would see an idiot politician voicing out stupidity just for the fact that he has a position in a government. In the animal farm book, there`s a saying which goes like this: ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME OF THEM ARE MORE EQUAL THAN THE OTHERS! The most uncivilized people in society.

Every Ghanaian should have been told. Revenue mobilization for development goes back to more than 130 years ago. Cocoa, gold, diamonds, bauxite, oil palm, manganese, nickel, timber exports financed development projects.

Takoradi Harbor
Tema harbor
etc

Eastern Region contributed in no small way to the development of Ghana. Cocoa, diamonds, oil palm, timber and some gold all these from Akyem and cocoa from other parts of the Eastern Region contributed in no small way towards these development projects.
