Tackling corruption objectively does not paint a hopeless picture! There is corruption everywhere in the world. The issue is do you sweep it under the carpet or tackle it? Tackling it does not make it a hopeless situation? Building our institutions and sharpening our attitudes to help tackle constructively and shun impunity is the way to go and we have made some progress however it may be modest. The problem I see is that sometimes we are so hypocritical. We fail to throw the searchlight where great damage is being done: in our homes, in schools, in churches, in the public service. It is always Government or politicians!!!That will not be enough to help us move forward squarely!!
Africa did not event corruption!! Africa needs to be original ( for the right attitudes), build institutions and systems, while adopting practices and avoiding bad practices from elsewhere and especially from our own history; and this takes takes time!! The failure lies fully in the court of those of us who were privileged to go to school so that light imparted in us may be shared with our less privileged neighbours, with our environment!

If Rome were interested in PROPERLY auditing these so-called "Bishops", the findings would be a sight to behold. Unfortunately for Ghana, the current Catholic Bishops are more CORRUPT than the general populace! You would think they would worry about where they're going when they die but they don't seem to care. They are the reason why there is a "bogus" one-man church on every block in Ghana today.

He also attended Notre Dame minor seminary, but his parents are not Catholics. They are assemblies of God. So I'm not surprise he removed the giant statutes. As a Catholic who believes in the the Church's traditions, I suggest he is called to order. If he doesn't want to be associated with our traditions, he should go back to the church of his parents. For example, bus in question quoted as being purchased at £50,000 was actually procured over 10 years ago in an immobile state as a 2nd hand bus for an amount that scandalised all. At the time, the current parish priest was still at the seminary. So how could he have been involved in it. There is no doubt this is a story written by a stooge of Fr Aboteyuure to discredit the current parish priest and eulogise Fr Aboteyuure. This is a disgraceful act of factionalism.

We have been following all your efforts to control the cathedral as if it was made for a particular group of people in the Diocese. The Catholic church is well structured and all grievances are channelled to the appropriate quarters for redress which you have not exhausted. The Catholic church is a universal church and not for a particular ethnic group, race or tribe. Know that your agenda is only being spearheaded by just a few of you which is not supported by majority of the parishioners. The media should seek to unearth the truth and not just run with stories such as this. How accountable was Aboteyuure and his cohorts ten years ago when he surrounded himself with sycophants who only sat under a shed and drank from dawn to dusk? What was the state of the cathedral parish then under their watch. The plethora of development is unprecedented under a young and dynamic, God fearing Fr. Ezekiel. WE so disappointed at the people who call themselves angry protesters against the church leaders and in their parochial interest, trying to sabotage the men of God mentioned in this alleged scandal, we will not also be quiet and allow your selfishness to destroy the dignity of our church and its leaders. We know just a hand full of you are planning this scandalous attacks. We shall hit back at your allegation, responding to all the issues raised and still respect the decision of the church's leaders because Jesus Christ gave them authority to be shepherds over us. The Bible teaches us to "Touch not God's anointed". If you don't regard the authority of the Bishop and other leaders, please seek directions from your Bibles if you have one!
If you so hate them because they are not you "own", remember they were also created by God and belong to a family. Please STOP defaming the name of our church which we so much cherish and adore.

Just as he preaches against ills in society,he should equally confess his own shortcomings.I can't remember when those who handle monies in the church have ever rendered any account or even pasted any financial statement on a notice board. Why are they hiding the expenditure from the people who made generous contributions towards the church's activities?Enough of the hypocrisy and double standards. I wonder who is actually closer to the Almighty God.Scandals galore.

You see Zika,facts that are not frankly faced do have the habit of stabbing us in the back.Truely I now understand why membership in Sacred Heart is growing with generous contributions while the structures remain dilapidated,compelling worshippers to contend with bad weather during church service.Mr Zika the right approach is not to defend Fr. Ezekiel but advise him to search his conscience and respond to the accusations. Indeed many people are peeved and will soon reduce their support towards running the church's activities.It is a disgrace that the new church still remains where it is.My question is,what do we use the huge somes from the yearly harvest for? If this issue dies without solution,then, I think no one should stand before us and say he is preaching righteousness. Period.

What was his role when he claimed everything was going wrong, what contribution did he make in his capacity, with what level of perseverance did he pass his contribution? Certainly the questions will continue and continue.
Its usually very easy to accuse someone but upon serious reflections we need to ask ourselves the questions of "what,why,if,how...."?
Certainly God will oppose those who oppose His Children at the right time. Watch-out and pray.

If we the parishioners are honest and objective we know the truths about the issues. The current team of priests are doing well and keeping the parish alive and vibrant and some disgruntled old priests and their spies in the congregation want to cause trouble. Let's be honest, when the past priests were not developing the place who was asking about what the monies were being used for? Now inside the cathedral., the parish house and the church premises look beautiful and attractive. And all of a sudden so called concerned Catholics are interrogating. Where were they during the time of Frafras being Parish priests? Whee was the money then going? Even if () the current administration has chopped money(But i know they havd not), and still are developing the parish both spiritually and physically , is not better than past administrations whose time .....I am from Bolga but I must admit that we must not allow tribalism to cloud our thinking. Let's be objective .
