Prof Addei should let us know the trend from former president Rawlings's presidency, former president Kufour, late president Atta-Mills through to current president John Dramani Mahama graphically. A graph showing the trend would reveal whether President Mahama is practising any nepotism in the appointment of government officials. We are awaiting for Prof. Addei to produce a graph of this nature. Professor Addei should remember that he a highly respected learned person and should not provide any information to doubt his academic credentials.

So if Kuffour appoints someone from Eastern, Ashanti and Brong Ahafo can we also say he appoints people from his area of origin? Secondly, as we speakit looks like only Northerners, Ewes and Fantes are occupying most positions and more so indulging in gargantuan corruption, embezzlement and fleecing our national purse. If for this reason there is a change og government and the books are opened, you don't expect a Kwahu man minding his business to be prosecuted. To name a few, Dzifa Attivor, Kofi Humador, Woyome, Abuga Pele, Assibit, Alhassan Imoro, Selassie Ibrahim and the list goes on. That was why Mills in his zeal for equalization investigated and prosecuted only Asantes when he assumed power. However, a court of competent jurisdiction exonerated them all of any wrong doing. Do you care to know who? Hon Osei Agyei, Asamoah Boateng, Kwadwo Mpiani, Wireko Brobbey etc. Sure the same people like those you mentioned will be jailed again.

Asantes have been at the receiving end from NDC tribalism from1979 to 2000 and 2008 to 2016.
Only 4 ingenious Asantes are in the 250 Ghana medical students in Cuban scholarship. The rest of the 20 Asante representation are the Seidu's, Ablorh's, Nutsugah's, Mahama's, Inusah's, Dzobgenuku's etc who live in Asante Region.
There is no Asante minister in Mahama cabinet. He hurriedly brought in Dr Agyeman Mensah to make the numbers. Dr Agyeman, everybody knows, has no mouth in cabinet.

Publish the names of the Regional Coordinators in the 10 regions. 8 are from the North.

Flagstaff House Orders 2017 Presidential Diary
August 8, 2016
Even though it is not certain that President John Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) would be in power after the general elections slated for December 7, 2016, the Office of the President has started placing orders for a presidential diary for the year 2017.

A contract for the printing job has already been awarded to JIT Services Limited, a company owned by the failed National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for the Akan Constituency in the Volta Region, Godwin Quilliams Agbenyadzi.

It was the same company that was contracted to print the 2016 edition of the presidential diary which was said to have eaten into state funds by a gargantuan $10 million.

The 2017 diary is expected to be a ‘Special Edition’ as stated by the company because according to it, “It will catalogue the achievements of H.E. John Dramani Mahama.”

The contract, dated June 20, 2016, signed by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, and addressed to the JIT Services Limited and copied to the secretary to the president and the Minister of Communications – a copy of which has been sighted by DAILY GUIDE – states, “The Office of the President, as part of its annual practice, has awarded the right to JIT Services to publish next year’s [2017] Presidential Diary for the Government of Ghana.”

Attached to that letter was a ‘Letter of mandate’ introducing JIT Services ‘to whom it may concern’ for organizations to provide the company with the necessary recognition and support they would require in the execution of their mandate under the agreement.

That was in view of the fact that the company is supposed to bear the full cost of publication of the diary and have the exclusive right to seek for sponsorship.

Subsequently, management of JIT Services, with NDC’s Godwin Quilliams as its Managing Director, also sent proposals to various companies asking them to advertise in the diary.

The sponsorship comes in two packages – premium and non-premium.

In the case of the premium, advertisers are supposed to pay a whopping $10,000 – the equivalent of GH¢39,400.00 – to have a full page advertising space at strategic places called premium pages, with sponsors who would take more than a page entitled to a discount at a negotiable price.

Previous contributors to the diary were mostly Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and government parastatals or corporations which paid exorbitantly to show their loyalty to the government.

These spaces in the diary are positions close to a personality (e.g. the president, vice president) an event (e.g. commissioning of a project) or position of the page (e.g. first page of the diary).

Organizers that would advertise in this category would be given 30 copies of the diary with 15 names provided for embossment.

In the second category of sponsorship package [non-premium], organizations are expected to pay not less than $8,000.00 – the equivalent GH¢31,520.00 – to have page advert at any other page(s) other than the premium at which a sponsor taking more than a page shall also be entitled to a discount at a negotiable price.

In addition, the organization would also be given 20 copies of the diary with 10 names provided for embossment.

But some have questioned the prudence in the decision of placing orders for the procurement of these diaries, considering the fact that power could change hands in an election year.

He implied all the people of northern origin, that is, people from north of Ghana irrespective of their tribe or dialect. They subsequently heeded Mahama's call and voted massively for him. Of course, Mahama did not mean the people from Bole or Gonja when he made that call. So, why are you now trying to run away from Mahama's definition of a northerner?

There are a lot of acadamia in Ghana who even does'nt know that there are Akan speaking towns and villges in the Volta region.When they talk about Volta region their minds is just reflecting on ewes.

I think you will find President Kuffour was the worse abuser of nepotism.
Mahama is by far very fair in how he spots and uses talent. He really does not care where you come from.

That said, all parties have their leanings. The voter base of the NDC is evenly distributed across the country but largely from the North and volta regions. So naturally, we should expect them to appoint their party faithfuls from these regions. Proportionality is fair.

Sadly, the NPP, arguably an Akan dominated party, draws its government functionaries from the region which predominantly support it; the Akan regions.

NDC is pro North, no doubt about that. Northern dignity and respect was restored by NDC led governments.

Northerners have gained a lot of respect and are now seen as able to lead the country under pndc/nds regimes. All this happened under NDC regimes. Rawlings started recognising talent from the north and putting northerners in key government position. The first IGP to ever come from the north was appointed by former president Rawlings.
The first of almost everything happened under the NDC regime; IGP, Chief of Defence staff, Defense ministry, highest number of northern representation in cabinet, first northern university, electricity from Akosombo, SADA spend, international airport etc.
Naturally, NPP should expect the north to gravitate towards the NDC. The record is clear for all to see.

Deputy Ministers 8 out of 34 (21%)
TOTAL 17 out of 62 (27%)

The conclusion is that there is some truth to the claim by the professor. The question though is if these are qualified. If they are, that it OK because we are all Ghanaians.

By your analysis, Volta region, greater Accra western, central and eastern will be lumped together as one area. Because they share borders. How silly.
