  If teachers are not tired (or don't need rest) then GES should extend the term time for them to work more, and they shouldn't charge parents because they still receive their salary during that period. If the term time is extended both poor and rich parents will benefit at no extra cost.

  What is wrong with the guys at the GES?
  What is this man's beef?
  If parents agreed with teachers to hold vacation classes for the students in order to enable them cover major parts of the syllabi of the subjects,how does this infringe upon the rules of the GES?
  The most annoying part of the story is that, both the teachers and the students through no fault of theirs, struggle to go through syllabi that has been designed for three years, over a period of two and a half years.And the GES says what?
  In fact the GES is the most outdated, retrogressive and disfunctional organisation that one could work for.
  I wonder if the folks at the GES headquarters has any sense of same at all .Meanwhile these same people will pay huge sums of money to provide private tuition for their children and hypocritically come out to put these useless statements in the name of defending the poor.
  The so called poor people should realise that such statements and policies do not serve their interest .At the end of the day,it is their children who are going to suffer because the "big men" who come out with these useless statements would by all means pay huge sums of money to ensure their children get the best tuition whilst discouraging you to spent a little on your wards' education.
  It's their children who will get the 8As and get the opportunity to become the medical officers and the rest whilst your children will struggle to even pass their WASCCE.
  So, parents who at least instance go to complain to the GES,should realised that they are doing themselves more harm than good.

  I do support the idea because the teachers don't teach any meaningful thing just about the money it must be stopped both in public and private schools.Back in 1974 our head teacher of blessed memory will organize vacation classes for we the final pupils for free.He does that to uplift the standard of the school to obtain a 100%pass for the school.Those teachers are called teachers since they care about the school's image of obtaining 100% pass.

  We must think of supervising the vacation classes and not to abolish it.Teachers,our reward is in heaven so let us help our future leaders.God bless you.
