  MLS is probably on par with the lower half of the table in the Championship in England. Not bad, but not the greatest either.

  Harrison Afful is 'Godly' right by his assertion. Growing up in Ghana I heard people say UK education was better, or held higher standard, than USA which turned out to be false and irresponsible. Some few years ago some Ghanaian sportscasters underestimated the MLS. I laughed uncontrollably when I heard their negative reportage about the MLS. They never took the time to follow and watch MLS games before making their awful statements. I was in the United States during the initial stage of the MLS. About five years into the league I concluded that the MLS, at the time, was better than any league in Africa. MLS is very highly competitive. It's not only Harrison who holds the belief that the league is no joke. Many foreign renowned and first class players who came to play in the MLS were utterly surprised about the standard. The disciple of players in the league, fan support, the beauty of soccer is very much comparable to Europe, Latin America, and the Oceana.
