We don't want to politicize this issue but it appears the NPP is pushing us to go there. The worse WASSCE results were recorded during the entire NPP period. For the records, WASSCE pass rates (those who had all the passes, A1 to C6) in 2006 was 12 percent, 11 percent in 2007 and 13 percent in 2008. We are not proud of the latest results but let all those trying to score political points know that they were so incompetent that they supervised the worst and disgraceful results ever recorded in the history of this noble country. What these hypocritical goons should also know is that over the past few years Ghana has always performed better than the rest of the WASSCE countries, and we have always produced the 3 best students. Let us all genuinely acknowledge that there are problems, which together we must address to improve the situation. This cheap unscientific hypocritical political buffoonery will not help anyone, especially when it is coming from the NPP and their 3rd Class performer who failed woefully as an AG and then minister of Foreign Affairs. The WASSCE results from the time it was introduced are there at WAEC for all to verify and ascertain those who supervised the worse performances. The NPP and the surrogates are shameless. Their plan of DECEIVING and LYING their way to power will surely fall flat on their crooked faces. God does not reward arrogance, deceit and lies.

I have always maintained that Ghana must get out of all regional collaborations with its neighboring states if this country is serious in moving ahead. Collaborations such as, WAEC and ECOWAS. Instead of charting our own development needs in education and strategic economic platform to give meaning to our own development needs, we have consigned our future development to a bunch of losers in our neigbouring countries.
WAEC: What academic foundation are our Senior High students taking to our universities if they are scoring 53% in English language (the nation's linqua franca), 33% in Math, and 48% in the sciences? Whoever supports this poor performance is a nation wrecker.
Nations are built with intelligent minds, and it is the reason why most developing nations spend a quarter of their national budgets on education. Ghana specifically needs sound and intelligent minds to build our country, because what pertains currently in the country is not sufficient to move the country forward.
We must get out of WAEC and develop our own curricula for Math, English, and the sciences that meet our development needs. Because let's face it, our development needs are not the same as Sierra Leone or Liberia, or even Nigeria. If those in government are not lazy, and above all unscrupulous to the point of negating their responsibilities, our nation could boast of the finest brains on the whole continent. My travels in West Africa, and my pedagogical assignments in many parts of continent support my views of Ghana's intellectual superiority on the continent. All the country needs is the ability of our governments to harness this hidden treasure through sound education policies to move the country forward.

I live and school in New York and our test and finals are as simple and precise as 123. Ghana exams are unnecessarily ridiculous how can pupils pass it and passed well. We need to adapt western way of final exams.
