That NPP Akyem camp thinks by keeping the less informed engaged in wondering if President Mahama had anything to do with the death of the late President will give Akufo-Addo some leg up in the coming Election.
That tactic is not only insane but outright malicious and cruel to the bereaved family. The fact that many in NDC have been insinuating that the Akufo-Addo Mafia is responsible for the many violent incidents in the NPP, including the attacks on Afoko and Agyepong, does not justify creating this mendacious environment around Mills' death.
If the NPP Akufo-Addo's Faction has any provable evidence to the contrary of what was formally determined to be the cause of Mills' death, why doesn't it put it out there in the Media, or go to Court to show how caring it is for Mill's family?
We all know how horribly the Akyem Mafia treated President Mills, starting from the very first day of his inauguration when it began ridiculing the former Professor for misspeaking. It gave him a disparaging nickname from that little error of speech during the inauguration as 'Econmini' or something similar. That faction never let up disparaging the late President thereafter, all the way through his death. Now, how dare it wants to prey on the sorrow of his death to promote Akufo-Addo's ambition to become the next President!
Ghanaians must not fall for that cynical, impure motive of the Akufo-Addo's faction to offer any pseudo-moralistic votes for the Akyem tin-god. The death of Mills couldn't have been anything but natural, even if some cumulative lapses in his pre-Presidential lifestyle contributed to it.
It is most wicked, disheartening and insincere for any Presidential aspirant to so wrongly capitalize on such a tragedy to win votes.
Let Akufo-Addo stand on his own personal credentials to persuade potential voters to vote for him. That is the honorable thing to do.
Any surreptitious scheming to deceive the electorate would be a reflection of the Presidential candidate's character and underline his ineligibility for the Presidency.
The late President Mills' family must send a strong message to the Akyem Mafia to let their son and father and Uncle rest in Peace because when he was alive, the latter never showed any empathy or respect for him.
