I personally am not against spanking of a child. But with all due respect to Bishop Obinim, his wife and the pastoral team, bishop could have handled this matter better on a hindsight. ie disciplining the children off camera. The posture of no one can punish bishop is also very unfortunate and smacks of arrogance and pride. This controversies is becoming one too many. And it is in the interest of Obinims ministry to serve the telecast to avoid needless bashing by the public particularly the media who may not appreciate the need to spank children. My concern is these controversies is becoming one and too many. I am sometimes tempted to believe that bishop does not listened to the advice of anyone. And if it the case then am sorry, he will need to listen to sound advise. We all make mistakes but looking at the years bishop has been in ministry some of these controversies can be easily avoided. I wish bishop obinim very well bcos I know its not that easy to be in ministry. As for Amnesty international Ghanaians should ignore them - they sit in the comfort of their air condition office when several thousands (10,000) of teachers, nursed work for 2years and in some cases even more, they have not raise a voice.
