I however want you to know and understand that, there are persons within the Police Service who are of high reputation in the presence of God and even level headed personalities in this country. Why wont you attack the general public that force politicians to impose recalcitrant's in the country on the police administration to enlist and train for employment? Don't you at least know when politicians and the general public thought the best way to find jobs for foot soldiers is to enlist them into the security services to do their biding and it has remained.

Very soon , I mean very soon, our police men will be the ones doing 70% of robberies. Ask any Nigerian you know and they will tell you what their police force has become because of the interference of politicians on the workings and enlistment into thier security services. Now, because of political expedience, people with questionable, dubious and outright criminals are conscripted into our security services aided by people seeking to use them to thier advantage. This is a serious national security issue that should not be swept under the carpet, otherwise, like I said earlier, some of our security personnel will become our own bonafide security nightmare. NOTE: There are very decent, patriotic and selfless security personnel in our dear country. The intransigence of some should not obliterate thier good works. We sleep secure becuase of those good men. IGP, please rescind your decision. Not all residents of the town destroyed the police post. See reason please. I cut salute!!!

The Police should abandon that town if they fail to do so. A similar happened at. Krachi Nkwanta when Mr Nafuri was the IGP. He insisted if they failed to rebuild the destroyed police station, they should forget about the police in their town. The elders had to apologize remorsely and after they rebuilt the destroyed and promised to allow such action again, the police administration posted fresh police officers and men to man the rebuilt police station. We have a lot of good and professional police officers and men therefore the public should avoid such mad actions in future. The badnuts in the service are normally taken care of through disciplinary or court actions. A police officer is not above the law!

This was a shocking revelation. The Police Service is not a Boys' Scout or some kind of a concert party. One could read through that revelation that the Police Administration then was not been allowed to use the laid down procedure to enlist those suitable and qualified to enlist in the service. A lot of such politically influenced characters in the service are below police standard hight
and academically bankcrupt. When one speaks ti them in english they respond with akan language. Some of them found their
way into the service with one aim and that is to use the uniform in extorting from innocent members of the public. Personally i wouldnt be surprised if the two police men alleged to rob the billion van were part of the 300 boys and girls forced into the Police by that former minister of state.

Also may I know if the incidence happened at Donkorkrom is the first time it has happened? I believe not, and police security in question was not withdrawn. I think IGP should re-think because the town in afraid of police coming back as an arm robbery. This is a scenario that can happen.
Mr. Prosper Agblor, according to your theory not all the people in Donkorkrom were involved in the chaos so IGP cannot make a decision make all the Donkorkrom people bad.
Does withdrawing police from Donkorkrom means each one for himself at Donkorkrom? And if that is so, IGP should not blame Donkorkrom indulging in arms possession to protect him or herself

I've read through a lot of comments here and I've seen that most people hate the police even though they have relatives and friends who are in the police service. Some natives of Donkorkrom are also in the service and stationed else where. Some people here claim the IGP is politically appointed and doing the bidding for the NDC. May be this is the first time an IGP is appointed in the history of Ghana. Others also think the police are cowards and have shown cowardice, same people would lambast the police if they had stayed and met the people with force which might possibly worsen the situation and may even lead to the death of some natives. Ghanaians seems to know everything, they are quick to criticise the IGP for withdrawing his men who are stationed there to protect them and their families. Yes the police may be rotten but they are not rotten than u who hide in ur office and take fat envelopes and come out and criticise them because they stand in public and take one cedi....And who says the police don't pay taxes. I hear a lot of times people say that they are paid with tax payers money.Yes they are paid with tax payers' money but they do pay tax too. IMAGINE GHANA WITHOUT A POLICE SERVICE. ..
