The hullabaloo isn't about the ddisciplinary act by a so called "rightful guardian", it's about doing so in the full (public) glare if his congregation, thereby humiliating the two, plus the fact that he's physically assaulted a pregnant girl, plus his asking his "church assistants" to also continue with the lashing, and worse so, as his assistants are not parents or guardians of the two. The word of God allows them just like Paul charged Timothy to "Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine" 2Timothy 4:1-2. Where did Paul say Pastors should punish the sins of others. Your argument is just so stupid beyond understanding! Go to Nsawam Prisons and you would see men and women who have fallen victims for trying to do what is right. People are paying the price for being to others who helpful to people who later have jumped bail. A pastor like all other humans can easily fall a victim for trying to help others. If for reasons of goodness people have to accuse Obinim for killing someone for juju, he should have remembered he is working for God if indeed that is exactly the case.
