I am looking forward for the day when these highly place women will be recorded for beating their female domestic servants and they will haul to the court as it is being done to this man. So, Adu Gymafi, you are telling readers of your post that God instructed this Obinim guy to abuse and humiliate these two children? To what end? What did flogging them accomplish? This is the kind of behavior that drives the youth from church. How can you preach forgiveness and then in the same breath act in such an unforgiving and humiliating way. How does a young Christian reconcile that logic? Should he, Obinim, be punished for the pregnancy happening under his watchful eyes? Or is he so heavenly minded that he us no earthly good. I believe he beat the kids because he was embarrassed that it happened in his household and was afraid what the congregation might think because being and humiliating the two children accomplished nothing. I will not be surprised if these two kids walk away from the church when they are old enough and that would be a greater sin than fornication or abortion for one of the worst thing a Christian, let alone a pastor can do is lead people away from God. By no means am I condoning the children's behavior but God has blessed us with better wisdom on how to deal with things like this. I fail to see how a merciful God as I have been raised to believe would condone the utter beating and humiliation of his children. Remember, pastors are human being too and make the same mistakes anyone can make; not everything they do is ordained by God. Did this so called man of God not humiliate his wife and embarrass himself by confessing to sleeping with one of his congregants' wife? Who flogged him for that? Please, Adu, don't sheepishly follow a "preacher" because he sounds good on the podium or us charismatic, remember, you ate in church for God, not the man preaching at the podium; too many Ghanaians are doing this, STOP IT!

Occasionally you will see under equipped police force arrest a suspect without cuffs. Very similar to things in the US. If you surrender yourself to the police before you are put in a cell they will cuff you and walk you to the cell. As member of the legal community here I see it all the time. Nobody is against punishing a child, but everybody is against assaulting children.

When I punish my child, I do not beat him. I confiscate his smart phone for a week, or put him under house arrest for a whole weekend, so that he cannot go out to play. I do not assault him.

Punishment does not mean beating someone else.

By the way who is this useless Oye lithur the so called advocate for Gender and children services.May I know what she's doing about all the Teenage pregnancy going on among the youths? Is she arresting the people who got them pregnant? What about the children roaming Accra streets selling pure water and dog chains in the scorching sun. This is what you have to try and solve not someone who is disciplining his children .The real issues facing the youths you want tackle that but waste your time on useless things.Let's look at the Kayayei some of them should be in school but we allow these children to come to Accra to do these neck breaking jobs and our authorities act as if they don't have eyes.Why don't Oye Lithur go after their parents for abandoning them? There's too much hypocrise in Ghana.

Trampling on people's human rights is a serious offence and Obinim should have known better. My sincere thanks goes to Nana Oye Lithur and all freedom fighters who made Obinim, s arrest possible. He is now a disgraced extortionist whose precarious activities is long overdue. Apart from the flogging of the two youngsters, he is also been interrogated for illegally extorting an amount of 11 millions cedis from a certain individual who reported the case to the police headquarters. Praise the Lord.

Oye and her cohorts, how many times have u taken interest in fighting for families who lose their love ones through mob justics, how many times have you fought for school pupils flogged and abused daily by their teachers? This hipocracy must end. I believed if it were Alhaji Sorogo, who missurably defeated Francis in his bid to fill his pocket with exgratia like Oye, flogged his son Francis would have ballessly kept just like he did after threatening to go to court which he fantastically dropped like hot metal.
