  It is interesting listening to those who hate to see President Mahama as president. They have no appreciation or praise for the President no matter what he does. Should the President reject the recommendation of the Council of State concerning the pardoned 3 for instance, they will still villify the President. The truth is that they don't believe someone from Bole should be president.
  President Mahama has worked hard to transform life in the country and instead of complimenting him to boost his morale, they either say they can't see any such life-transforming projects or that he has done so at inflated costs to loot the country.
  It is surprising that such avowed haters foolishly think the President would cherish their hate-inspired opinions. By now, it should be clear to the President and his advisers that, they cannot expect anything supportive from these enemies of national development. The day such haters speak well of the President, it will mean, the President is on the wrong path.

  There is no law in our statute books that criminalises free speech. Let us assume without admitting that there is such a law my guess is most of us would be in prison including your holy cassocked self.
  Terrible things have been said on the airwaves and in other public domains by both ordinary people and so-called learned folk. The list would be endless and the atrocious comments almost inconceivable. I do not recall a feverish clamour for prosecution and incarceration in those instances even when the intent was clear and the words undeniable. I cannot condone wrongdoing but I cannot tolerate decided hypocrisy for personal gain either.
  If those who accuse the so-called montie trio of criminal intent and criminal acts (for which reason they must stay incarcerated) can put themselves forth as innocent of the 'crimes' they accuse these three young men of, may they throw a noose around their necks.
  And if there are any amongst you who say this pardon is a travesty of Justice, then may we all cart ourselves to the nearest police station and confess our crimes of intent and crimes undetected. Finally we can ask God to take a break and take back all times he has forgiven us our sins and never again give us a second chance. I'm sure we would all like that very much.
  Convenient hypocrisy for personal gain is a disease which does not only destroy others but eventually those who instigate and practise it too.
  Right is right and wrong is wrong. There is no grey area or convenient wrong and an acceptable right. And he that is without sin, let him throw the first rock.

  Please I ask for common sense in whatever we say as men of God. Yesterday, it is the Presby Moderator, today it is a Catholic Bishop. Are you all without LOVE? That until and unless NPP comes to power the Presby Church would not help Government to develop the country - Ghana? Wolves in sheeps' clothing. The youth of Ghana avoid them - they are all ove 70 years and do not have your interest and welfare at heart

Have you forgotten that God in his own wisdom says he is the final judge and the judgement day each and everyone of us will be judge according to his deeds and actions. You Rev. that suppose to be preaching peace and reconciliation bcos of politics you threw away your conscience and dare into an area where you should be at the forefront preaching peace and forgiveness without thinking of effects of your utterances. The day of judgement shall surely come to pass.

  There is a big question mark on some Ghanaian leaders. They have move from what is right to wrong because of their selfish ambition, forgetting one day they will grow old and what they are teaching us is what we will apply. The relevant issues are:
  1. Whether or not the Monroe 3 were charged on contempt of court.
  2. Whether or not, they were charged on criminal case.
  3. Whether or not the court had legal capacity to punish them.
  4. Whether or not the president had the legal capacity to pardon the Monroe 3.
  5. Whether or not it is morally right for the president to exercise his right at per the constitution at the time.
  Let not analyse the question based in political grounds but with equity and sanity.
  The Monroe 3 , were charged on contempt of court not on criminal case, and therefore I employ those layers on the view of the the judges being judge in their own case case to redraw. Because, Article 284 of the 1992 constitution of the republic of Ghana, does not apply here, because the Chief Justice who was the major character did not partake in the ruling.
  The president had the legal capacity to free them as provided in Article 72, how ever, those powers were exercised wrongly because , he freed them on the bases of, they been NDC members as well as they working for him which is against Article 17(1)(2)(3) and again open door for youth to insult our leaders including him, the president without any fear.

  There is a simple analogy to this pardon from Mahama. It's like a mother punishing a child for wrongdoing, only for the father to come and reverse the decision, thus undermining the authority of the mother. The child, realising this, begins to disrespect the mother even further. The society, in the end, suffers as it is left to pick up the pieces of such bad parenting. This is exactly what Mahama has done. He has basically endorsed bad behaviour at the expense of the rule of law. Any good thinking person will acknowledge that it isn't the right way to raise a child. It is a bad decision and I hope all free thinking Ghanaians will stop such bad parenting behaviour when they cast their vote.

  To stand behind a religion and talk nonsense is a serious crime. Remember you have diversity in the congregation you leader. If you've got nothing to say, don't say your nothing to say in pretence.   I am not surprised about the comments of theCatholic Bishop Osei-Bonsu on his personal capacity. As a teacher at Legon to date he continues to display his ADVERSARY to PNDC and later to the NDC. I was a witness to his bitter homilies with support from Kofi Kumado and the late prof. Ansah all of UG, Legon. Now using his position as the president of the catholic bishops conference he has the opportunity to vent his dislike for the NDC. He will never comment on any coming from the NPP, a party dominated by his kinsmen. Indeed, as catholic before he was born and therefore he became a catholic priest l am very disappointed about his behaviour. You will recall his comments on the prisoners from Guantanamo -Bay. It is a worry for me and many like minded Catholics.

  You do not know what it takes to be president. He was acting in accordance with constitutional provision. He frees prisoners all the time under the provisions of the constitution. Let us respect his decision even if we have misgivings about it.
  
  It is significant that you did not raise a finger when Kufuor freed certain individuals using the same constitutional provisions.

Jesus said when I was imprisoned u didn't care for me . Did Jesus attach the offense? No he didn't say which offence that we shouldn't care about prisoners. Now my question is Rev. would u from now on sit for us to confess our sins before u? I want to answer for u. The answer is NO. I expect that u to refrain from that. Every forgiveness is forgiveness . This is why we advice men trot to divorce their wives even if they commit adultery

  Though the decision of president Mahama to pardon the three men was a sign of a weak leadership however we should not forget that the judiciary opened itself to the present situation. After decades of corruption - taking huge sums if money from criminals to set them free no one sympathises with the judiciary. And after some of them took money and declared Mahama as the winner of the 2012 elections, Mahama - with human feelings like anyone - came to the conclusion that the judiciary is a bogus system that can be brushed aside any time. After all who knows if Mahama has given them money as compensation? Why have we not heard any thing from the judicuary about Mahama's pardon? If you are a citizen of Ghana and will fight over this then I am sure you are also a fool. The fact is the judiciary dug its own grave when the declared Mahama the winner and they will continue to be disgraced. We can now bribe them even with 10 cedis to decide a case in our favour in a country where corruption is the best word.
