Government through the Ministry took measures to address the power supply challenges currently facing the country.

As a result Work on the 110MW TICO expansion was completed and the commissioning and commencement of commercial operations are expected shortly.

Under the 220MW Kpone Thermal Power Project, mechanical completion was achieved and it is expected to be commissioned for operations to commence before the end of the year.

360MW Sunon Asogli expansion project are on-going. The first half of this project with an installed capacity of 180MW is to be commissioned before the end of 2015. The second half of another 180MW would be completed by the second quarter of 2016.

The Volta River Authority (VRA) is expanding the existing Siemens plant (49.5MW) by the addition of 38MW. The project is about 90 percent

In the Greater Accra region alone, major road projects such as the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, the Ring Road Flyover, the Awoshie-Pokuase Road (including a community upgrading component comprising 14 schools, a market, a lorry station, two health facilities at Ofankor and Amasaman and water projects), the Giffard Road, the Burma Camp Road Phases 1 and 2, the Spintex Road by-pass, the Boundary Gulf House Road, the TeshieNungua-Sakumono Beach Road, the Ashaiman Road and some of the Gang of Four Roads (TettehQuarshie Interchange– Adenta and the Achimota Ofankor), among others, have either been completed or are close to completion.

Additional resurfacing works will also be executed in Ningo –Prampram, Tema, Ashaiman, Nungua, Teshie, La and Accra Central. Preparatory works for the redevelopment of the AccraTema Motorway into a six-lane road with four interchanges (Adjei Kojo, Abattoir, Teshie Link, Tema Roundabout) have begun. Several roads in Accra are also being asphalted.

There are many unemployed people looking for jobs so it will not be a problem replacing them.

Note: private Company cannot order police to force workers to go to work, but the government somehow manages to treat workers with a force to go to work treat. In develop countries workers go to strike more often because it's private company. Please do not sell ECG. The government claim is foreign investors but it is not. It is bunch of some "RICH" Nigerians and some "RICH" Ghanaians who have formed company abroad with some American know how technical men that want to take over ECG.

There is a sense that one is living in the wild, lawless American West - frontier justice prevails in Ghana. Survival of the most mindless citizen.
