Politics is about POWER and nobody gets power without fierce fight for it. I respect Nana's decision not to get into the damn gutter with the president, but if the president himself is disrespecting the office of the presidency by throwing insults and below the belt blows, then all bets should be off for his challenger, Nana Addo and surrogates, to respond in kind.

Nana, I don't think you could lose for the third time so either you become very aggressive yourself or sub-contract (delegate) the insult business to your surrogates or key supporters. Losing many times ain't Kool or funny for you, your party and your supporters. JUST FIGHT BACK, NEGRO!!

The latter had deformed lips that was highlighted in a campaign advert sanctioned by Prime Minister Kim Campbell. Jean Chretien gave an educated response and that resulted in a massive defeat to the incumbent Prime Minister Campbell. And such uncivilized conduct is not what Ghanaians expect from a incoming President. Maybe, in the NDC such careless talk and issues such as Mahama sponsoring miscreants to rape and kill the Chief Justice and Judges in the country as a result of his intolerance and dictatorial tendencies has appeal, Ghanaians have no regard, absolutely none, for such a disgraceful and shameless indecent expressions and conduct exhibited by Mahama and the few in his gov't and party.

For me, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo should not go the tangent which president Mahama and his NDC have chosen as their campaign strategy. This will not do them any good. Here in Ghana now, everybody knows what is happening; and we're all suffering from the untold hardship the NDC government has plunged the nation into. My candid opinion is that each and everyone of us has to look at his/her condition of life now under Mahana's leadership whether he/she is feeling comfortable with the economic hardship of huge utility tariffs that are slapped on us at the end of each month. I trust with this, every Ghanaian knows who to vote for come December 7th. Trading of insults and innuendos will in no way aid any candidate to win this December elections. What all the aspirants need to do is to bring their manifestos to the fore and explain them to the citizenry while campaigning. This I believe will help the Ghanaian people to sit back and make informed choices as to who they wll vote for in this December elections. I implore all the aspirants to cease fire on the incessant insults and innuendos in order not to inflame passions to spark of any civil strife, chaos and anarchy. For countries like Rwanda, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast etc were once very peaceful but many of us are living witnesses to what happened to them. We need peace and tranquility to reign in this our dear nation.

Your suggestion is right...using good language to reply his critics is necessary. The party secretary has done that....but there is need for Nana Addo to speak to refute those allegations.
