  You could just have said that it's a good start and that the conditions will be translated into other languages. In my humble opinion, that would have been better than your diatribe!

  Do you know that Doctors, nurses etc interview most of the patients in Twi, especially those who cannot speak English?
  Such patients mention the local name of the condition he would be exexperiencing, and sometimes because the Doctors only know the English name of the cocondition, but not the local name, they get confused. They always have to call other Doctors for help. All that KNUST is doing is to make a glossary containing the Twi name of every medical condition and its corresponding English name to facilitate communication between health practitioners and patients.
  If the Doctor can communicate with the patient in their own languages like Ewe, Dagbani etc, that's also nice. So today, they are working on Twi glossary, the next time, it will be another language. They must start from somewhere. They can't work on all the languages at once.

  To make your language popular, establish radio and TV stations in all the Akan regions and let all the programs be strictly run in your local language. I believe that with this, your language will also be popular. That is one of the reasons why the Akan language is spoken in every land in Ghana. But if you set up those stations, run all programs including news casting in your native language alone, and the station survives, CHANGE MY NAME
