Even the mighty Obama is challenged at every executive decision he makes. The person dragging the President before the court is not claiming that the President was wrong in exercising his powers granted to him under article 72 rather he is challenging that the word "offense" under that article is unambiguous so it has to be defined by the court which offenses. The real reason behind NPP's constant action to undermine President Mahama is that, they don't believe someone from Bole in the North must be president of Ghana.
From day one, they have challenged his status as president on frivolous excuses. Thus came the nearly one year long election petition that surprisingly followed JDM's well-deserved one-touch victory. In this laughable petition, the NPP had the audacity to ask the Supreme Court to cancel the votes in all the polling centres where Mahama had won so that their candidate would be declared eventual winner. Even though their vexatious petition was thrown overboard, they characteristically hold themselves as if they had won it.
What reason is there to explain why a president would be challenged in performing his duties as clearly laid down in the constitution? All presidents before him appointed Supreme Court justices and EC's chairpersons in accordance with the constitution without any rancour but for JDM, the NPP surrogates attempted but failed to stop him at the apex court from doing so. All presidents before him had applied the constitutional provision for presidential prerogative of mercy to show mercy to imprisoned convicts but NPP would not allow JDM to do the same. Now, the picture is becoming clear. They are determined to undermine JDM every step of the way.
The NPP as a party does not accept the fact that, President Mahama is indeed the president. Foolishly, they also believe the SC justices would grant them any wish even if stupid. This is one strong reason why the 2016 election results will be to teach NPP the lesson that, President Mahama is indeed the choice of the good people of Ghana.

Ofoso Kwakye has declared that the Court case against the conduct of Mahama Over the release of the Montie3 under Article 72 Will never see the light of day,meaning the Government plans to undermine the Judicial process. Secondly the CHRAJ has also hinted that It is not in a hurry to deal with the Mahama Ford Bribebly Case because it is delicate and could lead to Mahama's Impeachment before the December 7th Elections. This also means that the Executive is subtely directing the already Weak CHARJ Officials.So do we sit aloof for Corrupt Mahama to dance around his own Case? Is there no any Constitutional requirements that can be invoked to deal with this criminal who is destroying GHANA? Can I have a reply from any Lawyer?
