A priest states on national TV that politician has come to his house with "a fat envelope" containing $100,000 dollars in a bid to silence him on certain issues. This priest fails to name the politician attempting to bribe him and more importantly fails to report the matter to the police. How did Rev Martey know the exact amount of cash in the envelope? I dare say, he must have counted the money and if indeed he did refuse to take it, it could only be because the cash wasn't enough for him. Rev Martey had a clear opportunity to report a case of corruption to the police/authorities and he failed to do so. How then, can you even remotely suggest, that he "deserves a national award" ??

Please, let us always approach issues with open mind. I'm not a Presbyterian & I don't know either Rev. Martey or Rev Acheampong. But, serious, who calls another person to witness a bribe being offered to him/her if he/she is going to accept it. And, I receive $100,000 bribe I give the witness half of it? Who in his or her rightful will give a bribe to someone if that person calls another person to witness it? It doesn't make sense. Obviously, someone is being economical with the truth. Please, for those who contribute to issues affecting Ghana, be decorous.
