There is heated tension between the Manyhia Palace and the Presidency, after news emerged that President Dramani Mahama, has impregnated the daughter of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Impeccable sources at Manyhia have told the Catalyst that Ohema who, on 7th May 2016, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Akwasi, returned from her honeymoon a few months pregnant. Akwasi is said to have confronted Ohema, who dropped the bombshell that President Mahama was responsible for the pregnancy. She revealed that the pair had been involved in an affair, which led to the pregnancy. The marriage is said to have hit the rocks, with Ohema and Akwasi’s 3-month marriage all but over. Akwasi, who was said to be in tears, relayed the information to Otumfuo, in the aftermath of the honeymoon, and told the Asantehene that he could no longer continue with the marriage. This development has infuriated the Asantehene, who is is said to be livid and furious with President Mahama, and has cut ties with the Mahama family. First lady, Lordina Mahama, who has heard the news has moved out of her matrimonial home in protest at the numerous scandals and children fathered by President Mahama, out of wedlock. Lordina was only seen at the NDC’s campaign launch in Cape Coast to save the President’s face, as her absence would have caused irreparable damage to the fortunes of President Mahama. Ghanaians are tired of nonsense. No one is above the law. Go to western countries and see how they are progressing. It is not only the end result of the impeachment process that is important, the fact that the process can take place in a democracy is itself helpful. There is always a court of public decision making which is vital in politics. In the instance of the Mahama Ford saga, it is quite clear that the majority of Ghanaians believe the president erred in being influenced with the vehicle and this will affect the voting habits of undecided voters who are the ones who will determine the outcome of the 2016 elections. The difference between JDM and Akufo Addo in the 2012 elections was less than 50,000 even in the face of the sympathy vote from the death of Prof Mills. This makes election 2016 precariously risky for JDM because a lot of pent up fury and anger will be unleashed towards the NDC due to the harsh socioeconomic conditions on the ground in Ghana.

Ask yourself if our constitution allows what Mahama did, before you continue with your baseless argument. Welcome to the era of rule of law: if you're fixated in AFRC/P/NDC lawless mindset, then you surely don't belong to today's politics in Ghana.

President Mahama will be made to face the consequences of his action according to ur CONSTITUTION. Alban Bagbin, being an NDC memeber, you probably have no respect for The Constitution, but it's not about you, Alban, but OUR CONSTITUTION and RULE OF LAW. The constitution does not say the President is not accountable to the people. The constitution will prevail over impunity.
