The Russians didn't see the need to battle us for the ball because we weren't doing anything threatening when we had the ball. And they could outwit our defense at anytime so they let us have the ball. You know, the game would've been 3-0 had Boye not make two goal-line clearances. Goal keeping was horrible. Defense was non-existent. Forget about the midfield and forward too. We just have average players, who can run around but not creative and skillful enough. The coaching also need to improve. We have a horrible team, plain and simple.

This was a typicial Ghana game. Ghana has won games like this. For instance the 1-0 win against Serbia in 2010 at the WC had the same type of feel. The difference here was that Russia slipped that goal in and there was no penalty calls for Ghana. (Ghana probably could have had two penalty shots in this game). Without Gyan or Dede we simply have trouble scoring so the performance did not surprise me. Our only hope is that Gyan stays healthy enough for these upcoming qualifiers and the AFCON. We need to find new striking talent. If it means finding a foreign born Ghanaian who is still eligible so be it. I feel like even Sapong from the MLS would do more than Jordan. I think the goal here is to recruit a solid striker really quickly. Jordan is more of a winger or even an emergency right back but I just do not see him as the answer in the 4-2-3-1 formation that was used today.

Showmanship does not win games. The type of football being played these days does not entertain me. I want see goals scored not how long the ball is possessed by each team. Certainly, Jordan will not be starting anymore and in spite of a couple of mistakes by Kwarsey, he did make some saves that Razak would not have made. We have to stick with Kwarsey.

It was the kind of pass that big time strikers chase down and put in the goal. I like Jordan but he is simply not a forward. Kwarasey may not be world class but he is the best that we have and he is playing regularly at his club. He made some mistakes but also made some saves that Razak would not have made.
