The issue is Mahama lacks the morals for it to be even considered as strong and this action has farther doomed his highly incompetent, corrupt and clueless Presidency as the worst in the annals of the history of governance and leadership in this country.
The maximum sentence for the sickening and disgusting comments of the Montie 3, was they said, about three years.
The Supreme Court on conviction based on their own guilt and plea for mercy, sentenced them to a 4 months jail term and a fine. So it was not like the Supreme Court was not reasonable and compassionate in the application of the law based on the gravity of the offense. In fact we can say, the Court was very lenient.
The 4 months sentence was a teachable moment for Mahama, that as a leader who is supposed to be responsible, if members of your party are messing up, threatening all sorts of nonsense and depravity in this country, as a responsible leader, you should have the presence of mind to put a stop to that kind of irresponsibility. And with a much stronger sentence, the message will be driven home based on the very contumacious comments demeaning the very dignity of womanhood, the Chief Justice, the Judiciary, the rule of law and our democracy with the intent to intimidate, cower and instill fear in the Court, to rule on a matter you felt would go against you in an election. If that is not soft, subtle dictatorship then one does not know what it is.
Then you take the reckless and nonsensical decision to release these miscreants in a whimsical and capricious manner and you expect to be respected in this country? The question is what are you smoking?
Politics has not made us animals and savages in this country. The values, traditions and beliefs that we share have not been lost because of politics and when I see a grown man, taking a decision to free able-bodied men who threaten to rape the first female Chief Justice of this country and kill her, everything within me, everything I have learnt, everything I have been exposed to, everything I have been taught, everything I have experienced finds such a decision and such an individual, revolting. I have no respect for any such person, no respect but outright dIsgust. That is ill-mannered, uncivilized, indecent and irresponsible conduct and action that will never ever sit well with me, because I am the Son of my mother.

The answer to each question is an emphatic no and by the way, it is disheartening that an entire country, including all its intellectuals, will waste such lengthy time arguing over this miniscue issue and still broach it.
Mr President, you are right to let them go except it took you too long to do that. I find it hard not to blame you a little for letting them spend any time in jail. You can't win anyway. I think it will be fair to
give the monies they were fined back to them, with interest. That should be the burden of their employer(s).
It was totally wrong and crude in allowing the courts and it's corrupt judges have their free will to arrest, change, be the jury and sending those 3 characters to jail.
Talk is cheap and those individuals had/have the right to express an opinion. There are no grounds to charge anyone with a crime for saying or expressing something. They were only expressing an opinion, it's not a crime and they are entitled to that. They only time they could've have been charged with a crime is when the demostrate the means, like carrying guns, to support the act. Did the police find any weapons on them or in their homes, etc? The fact remains that the only institution that has the power to initiate searches of individuals and their areas is the attorney general and if that wasn't done the police had no right to have gotten involved.I doubt if the attorney general and the office know what they're paid to do.
The ulternate solution , as an example to deter similar futher utterances, was for the ministry that regulates, issue linceses to radio and TV stations to have stepped in with heafty monetary fine and a stanch warning against such broadcast. That would've prompted the station to rethink their relationship with those 3 and most likely teminate their employment. What is worst now in this country than someone to lose their job let alone such lucrative ones. thank you.

Mr Mahama, just answer the following questions TRUTHFULLY:

If those IDIOTS threatened your wife of RAPE would you have remit them same?

Mr Mahama, are you aware that it's the judiciary that ensures SECURITY so you can maintain your job?

Mr Mahama, do you know that disrespecting the court's decision by undermining it breeds state insecurity and ANACHY?

Mr President you exhibited WEAKNESS and POOR JUDGEMENT in this scenario, so stop defending it because it makes you look STUPID. Our constitution disallows a person of WEAK judgement to be a president.

The last time I checked, you were TRICKED into take in GITMO 2 criminals at the expense of our national security. Enough of your incompetency and weak judgement: Too costly and risky. Ghana cannot afford a WEAK-MINDED leader, so consider yourself DONE after December 07, 2016.

You are alienating the independent voters who will decide the 2016 elections by freeing the Montie 3. Your political advisers do not understand the political calculus of such a stupid decision. IT is more difficult to lose decided voters because if they already are committed to a party, they do not wish to vote in a way to give an advantage to another party. AT worst they may decide not to vote. Independent voters on the other hand are very volatile and tend to weigh issues important to them before voting, they are therefore very difficult to attract. The independent voters will decide election 2016 and therefore the elections are very unpredictable and volatile right now..
