But they messed up big time. JJ spent most of his time on the security of his regime. It was only during NDC 1 and 2 period that some development was carried out. Instead, the NPP came in with all the good will of Ghanaians to do a good job but they messed up big time and got kicked out prematurely. The NPP Government parted ways with NDC all inclusive style by parking the system at all levels with Akans with just some token appointments going to other people. They justified this by saying that competence was more important than regional balance as enshrined in the constitution. Now they accuse Mahama of favouring only Northerners. The North has 2 regions with over 30 ethnicities. The NDC is the only party till date that has recognizes the relevance of all tribes whether big or small. Mahama's three and half year has witnessed massive development on all fronts never seen in our generation. Be it in the area of energy, education, water, health ,housing, road infrastructure,
and communication. The bemused NPP can only stand afar with their eyes closed and complain of inflated costs. Even with this uncooperative attitude the NDC is not discriminating in development. NPP strong holds especially in the Ashanti Region are still getting their fair share. having failed to utilize the opportunity given them they now want another. But who would give them, when Mahama is on the road campaigning leaving them to organizing one press conference after another?
