When NPP were in government for 8 years, they had GHC20 billion from loans and taxes. They developed the country well with this GHC20 billion. They introduced the Free Maternal Healthcare, National Health Insurance Scheme, National Youth Employment Programme, School Feeding, Metro Mass Transit, Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty. They paid the teacher training allowances and the nurse training allowances, all from the GHC 20 billion.

Within the eight years of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), they have had GHS248 billion but have collapsed the NHIS, the National Youth Employment programme, School Feeding Programme, Metro Mass Transit, nurse training and teacher training allowances.

The hardship Ghana is facing up till now is due to Mahama's wrekless use of Ghana resources for bribe for power.

All those programs you mentioned are good initiatives but were only created at the tail end of npp administration so we really don't know how they were going to pay for those programs. Looking at the way everyone in that gov't was scrambling to steal and grab something at the end, it was never going to be successful. Secondly the npp never really made any serious attempt to clamp down on the widespread corruption on technical level ( e.g. ghost names ) in the gov't institutions such as health and education services which is a big deal. Maybe that explains why people were not really impressed by the so called initiatives and switched parties.

I think its time sympathizers of the NDC learn sense and know that the politics of insults is out of the game this time .the npp is focus on tackling problems facing Ghanaians and not listening to all the noise and propaganda from the NDC this time. Ghanaians are wise and well educated about the need to vote and why they should vote and vote base on ideas not useless talk and propaganda... I urge all students from the shs and tertiary and all government workers to make it a duty to go out and vote massively to npp and their aspirants come 7 December because their future is in crisis under president mahama whose only policies is to borrow and tax the ordinary Ghanian to pay at the pic end. Know that there is going to be a general lay off of government workers come 2017 by president mahama under the IMF conditionalities.
. he hasn't embark on the exercise because of fear of losing the general elections. Know also that the increasement in the tertiary fees is never going to reduce under president mahama and his NDC if retained . there wouldn't be any job for graduates and students after school. Think about this and vote wisely. Another term for mahama will be a doom for ghanians and there youth .

Nana should not waste his time on a manifesto. He can keep his policies in his cabinet, taking it one by one and announcing it as and when he is ready and able to implement it and go ahead and implement it.
