Sounds good but the problem is not lack of investment but more the lack of management skills in this highly skilled and competitive sector. International sports is a multi billion dollar industry and Ghana is full of talent ...

Sounds good but the problem is not lack of investment but more the lack of management skills in this highly skilled and competitive sector. International sports is a multi billion dollar industry and Ghana is full of talent but the federations are run by people with not enough management skill to compete internationally. therefore any money that is thrown at it is usually aimless and makes no return. it's a bit like Ghana suddenly saying that there is a huge industry in digital and computer science and therefore it's going to get involved and compete with Silicon valley. you can't do that because the silicon valley people are not going to let you come in and take over their business. therefore it is much more sensible to say we see the value in it and want to work with eperts in the field to overhaul our sports sector. the Sports sector needs proper review and overhaul and then it can compete on the international level.

you keep talking about investment but it's about management of that investment.if you don't have proper management you destroy the investment and waste it. so the first thing is to identify a management group of people and proper support to advise the ministry and the government, completely professional advice not someone or a group of people who are all insiders but a proper outside company with professional credentials, who can advise how to manage and set standards of transparency and governance that can then be followed and evaluated by the federations who are completely rogue and a law onto themselves at present. THEN and only then should the government invest further. If it were a business, you would not be investing in a business with no management right??

Npp will invest in sports for only selected few to enjoy. Sports does not put food on the table of the ordinary man on the street. So call politicians have nothing to offer the country but to enrich themselves.
