So we now have official lying in Ghana where government official lie through their teeth without blinking their eyes. What good lessons are we teaching our future generation? It means the suspicion Ghanaians have that Prez Atta Mills might have been strangled and allowed to struggle and die in the bucket of a pick-up truck might be true. What is this, that tonnes and tonnes of money will be used simply to determine who rule a country for the next four years. Good or bad, the axiom power corrupts warrants going to the polls again and wasting money for yet another determination. One project started is abandoned by the other. Africa will forever be re-inventing the wheels. The African who wishes to remain in power is challenged with sanctions and in-bred opposition to frustrate efforts.

What, then are we saying, back to one party state and one popular President at the helm? You see why the Osagyefo Dr Nkrumah made sense from the beginning. The UP were traitors then. How could Africa actually have a system that will work for Africa realising that Europe had unlimited wealth coming from all their occupied colonies and had just the one powerful central figure called King or Queen. What have we learnt from this sluggish snail called democracy? Building and pulling down. Dr Nkrumah's silos which were never used? Insulting our Presidents who are supposed to be steering the country and it does not matter which party has given meaning to our understanding of Democracy.

The Osagyefo had 70% of the total votes, yet he was sabotaged by the opposition and he was called a Dictator.

Ghana is experiencing phenomenal growth under the able leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. On account of an aging statesman who may not be re-elected by his own Party next time round, some may think democracy should simply cause an upset in Ghana and take us back to the drawing board again?

If in all his travels, he has never shared money but passed through a crowded market place and drop couple of notes, would it really be bad? Like the African English boy who pay a visit to his kinsmen or the city boy who visits his kinsmen in the village. Some form of money sharing takes place. Besides even narrowing it down, the interviewed traders said, our wares were mashed and we were compensated. Even assuming the President had GhC2000 and GhC10 and drops a few on his passage through the crowded market, would it really be deemed bribery for votes? Even at NPP primaries, there were allegations of real money changing hands - real monies - stop this hypocrisy!

This is simply how it should have been. Any African taking Africa back to the elementary stages of development will not see daylight. The West will see to it that it does not happen. Life is a challenge through and through but to terminate a very efficient President's term for an untested candidate who I sincerely insist may not be re-selected by his own Party next time round would be tragedy of great proportion for Ghana.

The CPP refused to select Dr Paa Kwesi Ndoum and so he formed his own party for Ghana to select him? The 8 year allowable term for a President ends in 2020 and if Dr Nana Akuffo and others believe they have a chance, the NDC will still be waiting for them there. 2016 is a year for consolidating the massive infrastructural works started by this regime under His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and it will be pure nationhood suicide to change for the sake of change.
