  this is why I oppose the direct election of M/DCE's. the typical african setting soaked in the political waters won't allow for development. there is always gonna be Anti- government agenda. we fool ourselves believing district assembly elections is non-partisan when in actual fact it is. you hear so-called experts calling for election of M/DCE's without taking into account the deep partisan interest of opposing parties for electoral advantage.
