Why is there no Toll Booth on the 140 Km Alsphatic Fufulso-Sawla Road? Is it because the road leads to Prez Mahama's hometown? Is this not contrary to the national road policy? Why is Prez Mahama permitting this treachery? The Accra-Kumasi road is about 200 Km yet has 3 Toll Booths. The Accra-Aflao Road is less than 200Km and also has 3 Toll Booths. What about the Accra-Aburi Road? The road is less than 50Km and yet has a Toll Booth. By using the National Road Standard for siting toll booths the Fufulso-Sawla road should have had at least 2 Toll Booths but nay, there is no single toll booth on that stretch of road 3years after its construction and Mahama is happy with that. This same Mahama will later turn around to say that there is no money to employ teachers and nurses and later go and borrow money at high interest rate to construct roads. Is this prudent management of the Ghanaian economy or are Ghanaians now colonized by the Western Gonja Caliphate and so other Ghanaians should sweat for Mahama's Family and friends. Who knows, may be the money used for the construction of the Fufulso- Sawla Road is part of the money Kufuor secured for the construction of the Hydro-dam in the Upper East Region and which was later divert by the NDC government to construct roads in the Northern Region - the home region of President Mahama. May God save us from the evil hands of Mahama

When I read what Ayariga is reported to have said concerning Akufo Addo and his Nima residence, I saw how fickle-minded and unprepared Ayariga was, and how unserious he was as a presidential candidate to lead any party for power in this country.
Ayariga obviously thought he was slighting Akufo Addo by making the point, a very irresponsible and misguided one at that, that at the age of 72, he Akufo Addo was still in his Father's Nima residence.
What Ayariga has failed to realize is, he has indirectly lent credence to the leadership qualities of Akufo Addo to the discerning, those who think deeply about the choices and positions of those who choose to lead and govern this country.
The Nima Residence of Akufo Addo which Ayariga said was Akufo Addo's Father's house, I am sure must be an old house constructed not in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's or the 2000's. That House/Residence for any one who has seen pictures of it, would attest to the fact that, it is for an old House very, very, very, very well maintained, so well maintained it has hosted a significant number of dignitaries from all across the world and Ghana. The Residence is so well maintained I am sure it would last much longer than the house or residence Ayariga is staying now which must have been built much recently.
For those who have been following Akufo Addo and his positions intently and closely, it is no secret he has talked about the maintenance culture of Ghanaians and has related that to the infrastructure decay and rot of state assets.
If Akufo Addo has managed to maintain an old residence of his Father to the extent the house today, has modern appeal, that for me, sits very well with my values and what was instilled in me by my own father about a disciplined maintenance culture and that is true leadership.
We have been in this country, where Collins Dauda the Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing has had cause to complain about structures which have started crumbling within about 2 or 3 years of being constructed through sole-sourcing under Mahama(costing about 10x more)as opposed to similar such structures constructed by philanthropists and other companies as part of their corporate social responsibility in this country.
Ayariga in his attempt to malign Akufo Addo just increased Akufo Addo's winning margins very, very massively.

Politics has been misunderstood and separated from other spheres. How could a biologically old man at 60 be retired from Government work then go through the backdoor to bid for the job of running the country? How you will ask?

I am not saying, he has a chance but even oldmen should be barred from attempting to run the country. They should look for their own small enterprises to ward off boredom and nothing more. If they are really filled with ideas, they should dole them out to younger members of their parties. So far, it is Textbook, Dr Bawumiah doing all the textbook statistics for Ghanaians to divulge - perhaps compilations which even his Boss, Old Dr Akuffo will not even understand very easily.

Besides, Manifestos are brain child of the Party and most certainly not a sole exercise of the flagbearer. Old men are retired to allow youths to move into employment which all Parties promise. What is he doing there then whilst promising youth employment. If all old men are out there working for Government because they seriously believe they have something rare to offer, fellow countrymen when would politicians stop lying to the youth of full employment? I am not a spring chicken myself, being over 60 but I share the sentiments expressed by Mr Ayariga completely.

There is real hypocrisy in this world of politics - promising one thing and doing the other. I am not interested in other old men running countries outside of Ghana. We are talking of operation full employment in Ghana and the youth must feature. If after retirement age, you have not achieved your objective in life - mentor your own children. this is to all my folks who are past retirement age as stipulated in Ghana's law Books but blocking youngsters.
The West is going down in age whilst Dr Akuffo Addo is stretching it.

Yes, all saboteurs of our electricity generators creating dumsor if not apprehended will qualify as members of the Opposition. This is what NPP has been doing for years - accusing people who have issues with their unworkable and un-costed policies, they have been bribed! I am not saying saboteurs exist, but if they exist?
