I have always respected you Reverend. Unfortunately you have of late allowed yourself to be used by these politicians to achieve their dirty goals. Now you have sold your sense of fairness and gone astray following politicians and criticizing your colleagues for no apparent reason. You could have kept quiet on Rev. Prof Martey's Peace Council matter and your dignity would have been intact. Now most well informed people see you as biased and it will take you a very long time if possible, to redeem your dignity as a Man of God. The power that The Almighty has given to you must be respected and cherished to other people will benefit from your blessings. A word to the wise is enough.

.... The Accra Psychiatric Hospital has suspended admissions for new cases, Starr News has learnt.

The hospital has also stopped operations at its Outpatient department.

This is the second time in two months the hospital has had to take such an action over the shortage of food and medical supplies.

A nurse and a member of the hospital’s PR team, Emmanuel Febiri, told Starr News their suppliers are demanding full payment of debts owed them before resuming service to the hospital.

“Our suppliers were expecting that monies owed them are paid to the last penny but that didn’t happen and they are demanding that if their monies are not paid, they won’t supply and even if they pay them all, we equally need money to run the facility. We don’t have money to run the place as we speak now, even common pen to write we don’t. And as a result, we cannot continue to to admit new cases,” he bemoaned.

Ghanaweb, please spare us this nuisance. Why devote three full reports to this no 'news' from the chairman of the peace council? And to crown it all, each short reports is padded unnecessarily with the profile of the Rev Prof! If he is looking fro another job, I believe this is not the place for advertisements. We mean serious business here. After all, this is a man who is always talking about peace but is afraid to preach about justice for fear that his sponsors would reprimand him, even though he is professor in the branch of knowledge that teaches that there can be no peace without justice!
Even on this matter, I would say he is not telling the whole truth. We all know that here in Ghana, anything at all is possible. We know that delegates go to conferences to elect party executives, but who can claim that nobody can be lobbied in those circumstances? In the same way, those 11 or so people who vote for the chairman of the peace council can easily be lobbied in one way or another. So Prof Asante cannot throw any dust into our eyes about the matter. If he intends to circulate his CV, I believe this is not the right place to do it. He could try advertising in the Daily Graphic!
