Unfortunately npp lost power and we didn't go for enlistment. When ndc won power they also sold the forms for ghc20 and asked those who bought it previously to only pay ten cedis and add their previous forms receipts to it. Most of us did so and got enlisted but some didn't make. I bought both of my forms at community eleven post office so I know what am saying. It was npp government which brought selling of police forms. First adverts were made on the dailies and interested persons report at the recruitment centers and body selection starts first. Politicians shouldn't think they are wiser than everybody . What doctor true said is the truth

Meanwhile throughout this period, one man Gen JB Dankwa stayed as CDS even after several years of retirement age. As for the Immigration, Customs, Fire Service, National Security, it became the exclusive employment avenue for NPP supporters, qualified or not. Be careful of whoever comes with free promises. There is no free lunch anywhere. The Police Service and other Security Services use the money accruing from sale of application forms for the overheard costs in carrying out recruitment, and this is so for all institutions including Universities. The NPP should not undermine Government Institutions by this type of propaganda. Why, they might as well pay for Visa application fees for the US and UK for Ghanaians wishing to travel to these countries to demonstrate their love. This "TROJAN HORSE" campaign tactic would not work.
