  It is sad that governments have sat aloof to allow old, aged and skilless workers of state owned media to cause mayhem. What is the use of these state owned media. GNA used to have some of the most foolish workers agitators in the past but in the past four years the agency has been stable and calm doing what is expected of a news agency that wants to be respected. Sadly the foolish workers are still around from our understanding and has three different unions for a staff of less than 200. The agency needs only one union. As an nmc member am amazed why the George Sarpong led administration wouldn't seek to harmonise the operations of these two institutions. The best option is that since gna lacks key skills on almost every area of its work it should join isd again. The writers there are not good anymore and the union work is not good enough. I have worked at gbc before and what is happening there only calls for a shut down. Yes govt must shut it down for a month and restructure. Utv started less than three years and has more following than gbc. Gna has lost subscriptions over the years. Privatise these two
