Three NPP supporters were Saturday night stabbed after a fierce clash between supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress(NDC) and the New Patriotic Party, in Enyan Main in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam constituency in the Central region.
Tension broke between the two parties during a festival at Enyan Main yesterday, when the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area, Ransford E. Nyarko asked locals to reject the NDC come December 7 because they have stalled the development of the area.
Kasapafmonline.com sources said, the utterances of the NPP candidate caused a stir among the NDC folks at the event and started hooting and casting aspersions on the nominee.
In the evening about 8:00 pm when the NPP executives had gathered for a meeting at the PC’s residence, some NDC Macho men wielding machetes and knives , according to reports stormed the meeting and unleashed attacks on them.
Reports say 3 casualties were recorded in the scuffle that erupted.
They were hospitalized for the night but have been treated and discharged this morning, reports said.
