Dear President, I have always been proud of the Blackstar line and I agree that at that time in history there was a imminent need for it, because Ghana was not regularly serviced by regular shipping lines and we profited enormously by also transporting from our new independent neighbors. However do you think Ghana is not well serviced by all shipping lines in the world today ? Is there a need to compete against some of the largest shipping lines in the world at the risk of loosing millions of dollars?
Ghana should rather look at international ship registration under our flag and compete with Siera Leone, Liberia, Panama and Hong Kong. no high risks investments but just collect registration fees.

How much is it going to cost to revive the black star line and are we going to borrow money to do this. Is it going to be operated as a private entity or as a national carrier? Can we compete with these established liners and as we can't even run a transport system like STC, what chance do we have to operate shipping liners. Can we compete with subsides by other developed countries. Just build some affordable housing for your tribes men and stop talking big.
