Yes, we admit that the loans are too much according to the NPP and Ghanaians but we should also understand that without the loans, we will and would have been in the dumsor, and other challenges affect the country and we are going to lose investors. These loans collected helped in so many ways such building more schools, hospitals in Dodowa and Accra regional hospital which will assist the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospitals in providing quality healthcare to the people of Ghana. We should be proud that at least Ghana is been recognised Internationally and globally.

It is not that the NDC are making noise about social infrastructure; yes every government one way or the other construct roads and schools but within 8 years about 123 community schools in which some are at the edge of completion will go a long way to making the economy resilint. Anybody who comes to say Ghana is under hardship then he should, first of all, check the records of China and United State of America and compared their economy to Ghana. we are better of more than them just they are knowledgeable in technology. The economy of Ghana is resilient and we are making progress from now to 2017.

This guy tried the same thievery most Ghanaian contractors commit; his only problem was he tried it in an election year. The government may end up suing him for the money he was paid to do the project. He may have shot himself in the foot here. He should have just shut up and try for another cotract because now, he surely will never be awarded any contracts in the future, which, given his most recent performance, will be a favor to Ghana.

Mr Acheampng be treated as an highly personality of interest, and a lot of the dubious awarded contracts could be cracked and a lot many politicians and some others, would be facing jail terms, plus the REFUND of the capital involved.

Was the 180k cedis paid in full as well as the 300k making a total of a staggering 480k?
What are the figures?
It will be very revealing to know the amounts involved because that is where the looting is involved.
From the story, the Constituency organizer who was the initial contractor on the project said after all the work he did up to the foundation level, he was given 700 cedis by the Regional organizer who took over the project.
Were any certificates presented for payment and by who, for work completed by the Constituency organizer up to the Foundation level? And how much was paid to the Regional organizer on the certificate presented?
Looting occurred and by following the money trail if it even exists, it will lead directly to Mahama and Asiedu Nketia, I can bank on that totally.

Don't be dissapointed if you just jumped on this thread due to the caption. You see, that's what your over dependence on certificates instead of skills can do. A well packaged Samsung or Lebanese, Nigerian or other nationals or company cellphones support office would send out adverts like this caption, and young people would rush in applications in millions. But some, in fact many in that group have the capacity to learn and set up a similar outlet, making multiples of that same amount they expect to be paid! Why?

1. There, the company would give him an identity tag for his role that may not be tagged "phone repairer". So he feels 'cool' working there even for 50k.
2. He conditions his expectations to a guaranteed price tag at the end of the month.
3. I don't just know ...really

Ok, I am a bit confused here, how did this gentleman "expose" the party? This is the kind of juvenile resorting that pisses me off. The semi educated reporters of Ghana Web use headings that don't match the story and then they get their facts and names of the parties in the story wrong. They referred to this so called whistle blower by two different first names. Ghana Web, please do a better job venting your "reports" as it has become embarrassing. This guy is simply complaining for losing the contract, and from the counter argument given by the new contractor, the previous contractor was derelict in his duties. He did the same thing most Ghanaian government contractors do; they secure the contract, secure a hefty initial payment, start the project to pacify the onlookers, then disappear. This would have worked were it not an election year with the current party looking to show they are doing something. He just chose the wrong season to practice his thievery and now he has the balls to bitch about losing the contract? Foolishness never ends.

for the hike in the contract sum from 180k-to over 300kgh govt should be careful or else it would pay dearly for it later. the amount should double just over 4 yrs though it is not unlikely inflation over the period push the cost that high...
