When Guinea and Mali former French colonies opted for independence from France France went mad and opted to destroy the economies of both countries.France immediately withdrew financial support for these two countries and set about destroying the economies of these two countries.Railway lines,power lines,communication lines railway engines and stock were all removed and taken back to France.It was Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah who advanced 10 million pounds loan to these two countries to save their economies from collapsing.The rest as Rawlings rightly put it have been under the suffocating political and economic influence of France.No former french territory in West Africa has its own army.The French army occupies these countries and in the process rendering their political independence non-existent.The French central Bank controls their currencies,the CFA.HOW CAN SUCH COUNTRIES BE ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT AFRICA UNITING.May God help these nations to throw away the shackles of French colonialism.
