Out of the current 24-men squad, only eight are foreign-based: Ahmed El Mohamady (Hull City), Mohamed El Nenny (Arsenal), Ramadan Sobhi (Stoke City), Ahmed Mahgoub (Braga), Omar Gaber (Basel), Mohamed Salah (Roma) and Mohamed Abdel Shafy (Al-Ahli Saudi FC).

The rest are all locals with majority of them (eight) from Zamalek alone and 3 from Al Ahly (Egypt), and three others from Egyptian teams.

Our problem is that our local league is deplorable. So, we have to rely on foreign-based players. We can never be successful until we fix the local league so that we can have a good mix of foreign and local players.

Grant is not innovative. Grant cannot call New players. He is basically enjoying the sweat of the former coach, Akwasi Appiah.

I am not sure whose job they were protecting, but they always froze this guy everytime he was on the field. Folks, black stars is a cult; there are many things going on in there that are not published and sometimes it's not the coach but the players.

Who is in charge of that after grant admitted that he doesn't follow any of the continent's where many prospective players play.
