  Why is that tribal politics against the NPP seem to be effective? That is the million dollar question the party needs to seek answers to. Is it from their behavior in Government, their treatment of other tribes, their feeling that others don't belong etc? A mjor soul searching is needed in the party to assure all tribes that the party represents all Ghanaians, not only in words but concrete action.

NDC thieves have betrayed the poor North and Volta regions who trusted them and voted massively for them to continue create loot and share.. ...   From 2001 to 2008 when NPP was in power, three IGPs were appointed Owusu Poku, Owusu Nsiah and Patrick Acheampong, and octogenarian JB Dankwa stayed as CDS beyond his term. In contrast in the same length of time there has been Mills Robertson, Quaye, Ahlassan and now Kudalor. The CDS has rotated also. You see how the NPP provides their rivals with fodder to play the ethnic card against them?

  its a fact ndc is an anti-Akan party! who cares if a one or two ministers are of Akan origin. that doesn't make any difference. all the positions are handed to some useless northerners, Ga's and ewes!

  You MP Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, have you really forgotten the kind of ethnocentric politics your NPP has practised all these years? Are you serious? Are you real? Have you ever heard of Prime Minister Kofi Abrefa Busia's Apollo 568, when immediately upon his assumption of the prime ministership in 1969 he summarily dismissed 568 civil and public servants, the majority of whom were Ewes, on the charge of incompetence? Recall that in that case, an Ewe man by the name of E. K. Sallah, who had just meritoriously been promoted to the position of manager, challenged Busia and his administration at the Supreme Court and the court unanimously ruled in the latter's favour. Then Busia full of fury appeared on national TV and, like a demi-god, declared to the whole world that no court could tell him what to do. He thus rejected the court's decision and refused to reinstate the dismissed man as the court had ruled.
  
  Like Busia, Kufuor also dismissed a significant number of Ewes from both the civil and public services as well as from the military and replaced them typically with Asantes when be became president in 2001. In addition, throughout his term of office, his administration would not employ Ewes and those with Ewe-sounding names. At one of his press conferences, Kufuor was point-blankly asked why he filled positions with mostly Asantes and his response was that it was they who overwhelmingly voted him to power and therefore he was obliged to employ them. All this is documented!
  
  If this is not tribal politics practised by Busia and Kufuor, what is?
  
  Mr. Agyarko, have you forgotten how NPP's Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central, called on Asantes to kill Ewes and Gas living in the Asante Region? What is more "tribal politics" than that?
  
  Also, was it not your NPP flag-bearer Nana Akufo-Addo, who used the term, "Yen Akanfuo" to indicate his favouritism for the Akan people and called on them to engage in violence? Who is really practising tribal politics?
  
  
  
  When it suits your whims and caprices, "tribal politics" is okay, right? Mr. Kyeremanteng Agyarko, please learn to be a little objective, and if and when we all begin to do that, then it's Ghana which as a country will begin to gain and prosper.
