  Since both Obuasi constituencies are NPP strongholds, it is surprising that the hooligans chose rather to vandalize NDC property, and proceed to declare No galamsey no vote. As the MP has explained, his party loses nothing if this tiny minority stays away from voting. It would therefore have ben prudent on his part to come out boldly to support Government efforts in curbing this degrading practice, but for partisan political interest he has muffled his position.
