President Mahama, yes, the IEA must not be the only organisation that should organise debates. They're apparently pro-NPP and must therefore not be allowed to organise debates for our presidential candidates. There must be other organisations that are neutral and which can conduct trustworthy debates.

Yes, it's crucial that you and Akufo-Addo debate the substantive issues, especially those dealing with his numerous promises and the issues he has raised about your administration and about how incompetent you are. It's not too late now to organise at least two debates between you and the two other candidates. Surely, Akufo-Addo and the NPP will do everything in their power to avoid a debate with you, but the must not be allowed to dodge your challenge.

Readers will recall how Kufuor refused to debate Prof. Mills in 2000, because he knew all too well that he was no match for Mills. Kufuor himself said later that he intentionally refused to debate the professor because he was afraid he would lose. Had Kufuor agreed and debated the professor, he would have exposed his weaknesses and would not have become our president. What a shame that someone as unintelligent as Kufuor was allowed to become our president? We all saw what he did and how he and his NPP turned Ghana into a cocaine hub in the West African sub-region and the corruption they engaged in left and right.

Ghanaians and the whole world heard from the Georgina Theodora Wood Commission in 2003 how cocaine seized from the ship Benjamin and deposited at the Ghana Police headquarters under the supervision of its Asante Inspector-General of Police and his Asante deputy mysteriously disappeared but some were later traced to the palace of the occupier of the Sika Ogua Kofi, Osei Tutu II. Then, of course, there was the NPP MP Eric Amoateng's drugs saga for which he served a ten-year prison term in the U. S. This is significant because Amoateng was said to have been a financier of the NPP.

Please, President Mahama, you and the NDC must do everything in your power to ensure that you debate the specific issues with Akufo-Addo. Don't allow him to avoid doing so as Kufuor did. He must be made to give us the electorate the specifics of his numerous promises, especially how he intends to implement them if and when he becomes the president of Ghana. We the Ghanaian electorate have every right to know everything about Akufo-Addo's promises. Likewise, we are also entitled to learn everything about his background. He must clear the air concerning every question that has been raised about him. He must not be allowed to continue keeping mute, hoping that by so doing the issues will somehow disappear. No, we must not be denied the opportunity to hear directly from him. Only a debate between you and Akufo-Addo will afford us the opportunity do get out all the necessary information from him.

President Mahama, you and the NDC as a whole will be sorely disappointing us the electorate if you fail to engage Akufo-Addo in a debate with you prior to the elections. So, the ball is in your court now. Remember, Akufo-Addo and his party are not, and will not be, enthusiastic about debating you, because they are afraid of being exposed; therefore they will do everything to deny you the opportunity to debate you. Don't just allow his cold feet to remain that way. He and the NPP must not be allowed to cheat us. Put heat in those cold feet. You and the NDC can do so, if you're really determined.

You remember how they initially refused to take part in the 2012 debates when they thought that they had the advantage only to turn around and particpate when the Prof died. I will suggest in all honesty for John Dramani Mahama to debate the likes of George Boateng, his contender in their internal presidential primaries who was pilloried as being unstable mentally by Asiedu Nketia and dictator Mahama and if he is able to scale that bar, which I more than convinced he would not, debate Ayariga of APC and then NPP will consider a debate between incompetent, corrupt clueless Mahama and Nana Akufo Addo.
Mahama should debate George Boateng and the NDC should hold fresh internal presidential elections to answer to his locus as the presidential candidate of that NDC party and we can take it from there.
Meanwhile the 170 issues raised by Ghanaians through the brilliant Economist Alhaji Bawumia is still on the table. John Dramani Mahama must attempt to answer just 5 p333, if he can do it.
