Did you read the article? Polling agents, unlike presiding officers, are not required by law to sign pink sheets. They can choose not to sign which does not in anyway invalidate the result. In fact, it is not mandatory for a ...

Why should there be a requirement to sign pink sheets at all if 'no signature, no significance'? Why complicate the procedure with the need for a signature if it does not provide any checks on the validity of results?
It is just like the latest craze about 'no validation, no significance'! After spending so much of tax-payers' money to introduce the verification gadgets, and after Afari Djans' disgraceful behaviour at the supreme court, the EC is now telling us that the verification machines will not be necessary during our next elections, even though it will still be used just to complicate the process - and waste more time for one to for through the voting process on the day. Common sense dictates that if the machines are not going to be used for the reasons for which they were introduced, then they should be scrapped and binned straight away. But no! This is |Ghana! They will still be use to complicate the process. The extra minutes each voter would take on the verification device would add up to a couple of hours of voting time at the polling station, and deprive other voters in the queue to finish the process within the allocated time. Then come five o'clock, the EC would gleefully declare that voting is being extended into another day, without adequate provision for how/where the ballot boxes would be safely stored! This would in effect give cause for suspicion of the validity of the ballot papers in the boxes come the following morning. Need I continue?
I suggest that the EC scraps the signature space on the pink sheets now that they have not as yet been printed! In the same way, they should scrap the use of the unnecessary verification machines. This would be the sure way to ensure that at the end of the process, the results would stand up to the expectations set out before we start the process at all. Otherwise, they are only paving the way for the rejection of the December 7th results!

I don't understand why many members of NPP don't have common sense. Imagine NPP is winning in all the polling stations in Ghana. Then NDC polling agents are not happy about it and hence refuse to Sign the pink sheets. Now the EC says because NDC agents did not sign, the results are not valid so we should not take those invalid pink sheets into account to determine the winner. Or the EC says let's go and vote again at the areas where the agents did not sign. Then we vote and the results are repeated and the agents or an grieved EC official refused to sign again and we declare the result invalid again and the cycle continues. So NPP grow up and understand the basic issues so you don't waste our time in court again.

When NPP came to power in 2000 after making so many campaign promises, the chose the easy and most unpatriotic way to Govern this country. They went for HIPC, an insult to the whole state. After stealing state funds they awarded themselves for hard work. People follow NPP only for tribal reasons and not that NPP is a national party with any competence. Kindly not these facts.

What if somebody is able to make same exact paper, put in numbers for the candidates and declare that it is the original document from a constituency? The document MUST absolutely be signed to prevent this!. If the EC does not reverse this crude way of collating the results, another court case looms. Mark my word !!
