The late Agbele Gbedemah, who was the 1st finance minister of the 1st Republic of Ghana agreed with him,Victor Owusu 100 percent. What are they doing there? Why is Bawumia not on the trip? I wish it were a town hall where many Togolese would be asking Bawumia whether they are among his exclusive list of 76,000. And Otiko Djaba. When has JJ Rawlings ceased to be a Togolese? Where was Otiko in 1992 when NPP challenged JJ's nationality at the Supreme Court? And humiliated by Nana Addo to push his own bags at the nation's airport? We heard of 'ye gye ye man' in 1992 and 1996. So the only message the NPP have for Voltarians is to remind them of Rawlings? How sad. JJ has come and gone. He may decide to forgive NPP for all the humiliation they caused him and his wife at the so called Reconciliation Commission, that is his cup of tea. The reason this year is that the people of Volta Region know which side of their bread is buttered, which party would not try to disenfranchise them, which party treats them as full blooded Ghanaians and not second rate citizens. The people of Volta Region know the party whose MPs are calling for the heads of Ewes in Ashanti Region. Need I add more. The people of Volta Region have a new darling, in the name of JDM of emefa mia mia mia fraternity. The Togolese would finally have an opportunity on 8th December to tell Bawumia and Nana Addo to leave them once and for all. One more thing, 'atiglinyi' has found that after all, Togolese are far more civilized in their behavior than those in Ashanti Region who throw stones at NDC convoys. The above gives a synopsis of why the 'Togolese' keep voting NDC. Each time the NPP affords them new grounds to want to go the emefa mia mia mia mia way.

Kennedy Agyampong. This year it is Bawumia and Osarfo Marfo who have incensed Voltarians. And by 2020, a new crop of NPP politicians would have their own version of antagonism against the people of Volta Region. So you see how NPP keeps shooting itself in the foot.

The people of the Volta region will continue to vote for the NDC because of the party is national, when it comes the distribution of the national cake.

Considering this, let also consider the region, in terms of her benefit from an NDC government.

The region under the NDC government has benefited enormously from the NDC government.

The region has a new Airport, a new University and so many other social initiatives that is required for modern living. This and many other reasons account for the reason why the NDC will continue to win in the region.

Kumasi international airport. 13 community day senior high school some are commissioned some are ongoing. Rotary Park. Kejetia market. Aboabo market. Aboabo drainage. I still wonder why they want to be a major player in Ghanaian politics since they CLAIM to be a kingdom. If they truly believe they are a kingdom why should they be so eager to be part of some 'mere' Ghana which is still a developing state? more so their so called king sometimes relying on the states presidential plane to travel? All kings the world over have HMs fleet of planes. RUBBISH! The constitution of Ghana has no place for a kingdom.
I think Ewes better give a second thought to the clamour for sovereignty. We have proved our ability to be ourselves by creating our own Presbyterian church, our language is still undiluted, the little said about our reverence for formal education the better. Our agriculture thrives to the ignorance of those fools who think Volta is poor; i ain't surprised, since they struggle to read; if not they would have read from the recent state statistical report that Volta is not the poorest.

Indeed, when do you think the NPP will have a flagbearer who is not an Akan?
I can assure you that the NDC can just as easily have an Ashanti or an Akyem as flagbearer and Voltarians will still vote massively for him. So we vote NDC because we believe in the philosophy of the party and that there should be equal opportunities for all Ghanaians. There is nothing wrong with Voltarians voting for NDC all the time if it's on principle. Even in the USA where you claim to be it happens. But what does not and cannot happen in the USA is for a party to decide that its flagbearer must only come from one or two specific states. And yet that is what the NPP does, but you in all your highfalutin wisdom see nothing wrong with such a party. May God deliver you.

I consider such comments are an insult to the majority from the Volta Region who vote for the NDC. They stem from your mistaken belief that you are better than every other tribe in Ghana. If this were not the case, you'd also ask why the majority of Akans vote for the NPP?

Why should the majority in the Volta Region change and vote for the NPP, while the majority of the Akan continue to vote for the NPP?

Some of us take it as an insult when you make such comments.

For your information, I don't think the NPP is any better than the NDC. All that they are seeking is to get their hands on the national purse and assets again, something they miss terribly.
