  This is why the tournament can never be more than sixteen teams. In fact, what CAF needs to do is to require any host to build dormitory facilities for the teams that are coming. In Africa, if you depend on the hotel stock you are in trouble.
  The alternative is to host the group stages in four different countries. The host and the three top seeds. When you get to the group stage then you can play all the games in the host country. This reduces pressure on the host nation.

  Great suggestion but it won't solve the lack of infrastructure and soccer facilities. Caf needs to encourage other less endowed african soccer nations to invest in soccer infrastructure and boarding or you risk participating ...
