There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

How long will these negotiations take? You see why President Mahama says NPP are like football spectators who criticize every move by the players but can't kick a ball beyond their stomachs. You have told us how if NDC wins, dumsor will resurface base on the fact that Ivory Coast will be in dry season, Nigeria gas will not flow because of debt, jubilee gas will not flow because the plants will be shutdown for maintenance work and Asogri and other plants will not produce. You have not told us with the problems you have just enumerated how you are going to solve them for Ghanaians to enjoy constant power supply if you win. I hope you are not thinking about the problems solving by themselves. If your government (NPP) had invested a little in power generation to keep pace with increase power demand during the 8yrs you were in power dumsor will not be this bad.

When NPP came to power in 2001, we had to run quickly to Nigeria and renegotiate terms for oil supply. If Kufuor's government hadn't done that, Ghana would have run out of petrol and electric power within four weeks.

Nana is being invited for a debate to come and question His Excellency about all these mis-managements. He is running away from all these only to get this bogus machinery into operation to hoodwink Ghanaians?

NPP believes they have a case to prove that GHANA is not safe in the hands of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. Shamelessly, they have adopted ex-President J.J. Rawlings who they call a Superman (believing that will then allienate him from the Party he formed. The have adopted ex-President J.A. Mills believing by this shameful conduct they will glean the Fanti vote. These are what propaganda is born out of.

If Nana sincerely believes Ghana is in crisis, he should be prepared to debate his Excellency ONE MONTH to the election for Ghanaians to sift the wheat from the weed.
