But this system is far better than the middle school leaving certificate where only four subjects were examined. I can bet you there are a lot of form four leavers who cannot write their names so what are you talking about?

I don't even want to think about the next generation because it is these people with low standards who are supposed to teach the next generation. The earlier the system is reviewed and amended the better for the country as a whole.

People should not just accept any wild figures by anybody simply because they have a Dr. or Prof prefix in front of their names.

Come down to the training colleges ,last term I was thinking that we won't have teachers in the near future because these days the way get admission to the training colleges tend to whom you know and not who qualifies

Yea ! But better than the form 4. In 1992 when I completed JHS formerly the jss. I could read and write but it wasn't that good, I made up in the SHS. And in 3 yrs later my grades could not get me into any university in Ghana ...

I did my national service in a public school and most kids in that school couldn't read far less writing their own names.and all that most of our trained teachers think about is their lesson notes and salaries.private schools ...
