But there is one thing we must not runaway from, the 57 chiefs means the NPP has a sure 57 votes from the region, they is no where near the 50 plus percentage mark.

This kind of cheap politricking is not the way forward.

The NPP should instead tell us what differently they have to offer to the Ghanaian that the NDC has failed to do in its four years of leading this country.

The reality is that, even if all these chiefs, which I doubt, have indeed endorsed Nana Addo, it is still 57 votes only. One is to one vote.

The Volta Region has the highest number of 'chiefs' in the country. You can ask JJ Rawlings. Every household has its chief. There was a durbar of chiefs in Tongu area in 2000, where all these so called 'chiefs' would want to occupy the front row and no one would agree to sit behind the other. Some of the chiefs pitched their stools on the road leading to the school football park which was itself empty except for the long and meandering queue of 'chiefs' like jerry cans in kerosene selling point. The worse is most of these 'stools' have no property attached and after a ceremony you would find it difficult to identify these chiefs, as the man, his sister, mother and maybe brother would be seen carrying their stool regalia on their backs to their houses. 57 chiefs indeed!

Even in the Volta region alone, the New University of Allied and Health Sciences (UHAS), the new Ho airport, the numerous road projects that is all over the place.

These are evidence and this come into the picture and decide who the people will stick to at the end of the day.

The 2000 election was when NPP came mentioning "trillions' in Ghana politics for the first time. Deceiving Ghanaians that the then JJ Rawlings gov't blew up Ghana's money in trillions. Ghanaians were shocked and so voted out the NDC gov't, but NPP lost power 8yrs later when most Ghanaians came to know the TRUTH that they were TRICKED with lies.
Today, 2016 election, NPP is on the same trick deceiving Ghanaians that the John Mahama NDC gov't has blown billions of dollars on nothing.
In order for NPP not to be accused on the trillion allegations NPP was FAST to redenominate the Cedi by dropping 4-zeros to read lesser. So for example 1,000,000,000 will be 100,000 (1 billion is now hundred thousand). They now call this figure Ghana Cedis.

Voltarians had every right to vote NDC. They were scornfully shamed by victor Owusu. Akan tribes especially , Yaanom called # 9 and discriminated against for years after President Nkrumah overthrown. The NDC through JJ and some Level headed or wise headed Ghanaians rewrote the scripts and worked very hard to sanity to Nkrumah model of Ghana , where all people from every creed to have a level field with mutual respect and equal rights in our Ghana. However the insanity and hypocritical Ghana continued so Voltarians had no choice but for a stronger alliance,for unity brings strength and growth. This the Voltarian exhibited in exercising their democratic right to vote and voting they did massively for NDC in exchange for NOTHING but a sense of belief.... an ideology of Nkrumah's ONE GHANA.
It is still the same IDEALOGY.... ONE GHANA
and as such Voltarians and all right thinking Ghanaians should that SUPREME IDEALOGY of Unity Ghana.
The past is the past .... it is gone ., but the mistakes of the past need not be forgotten. It is only through remembrance that one can measure the difference they have made.. and how far they have come.
Our democracy had grown, have we as a Nation.
