Most Ghanaians do not understand the issues at stake when it comes to voting and that is another factor. As we speak, unemployment is high meaning there are no jobs so what is Mahama talking about "achievements"?

It was under this government that we have "unemployment graduates association" and that alone is a testament that there are no jobs and what is the government doing about that? All governments build roads, hospitals, schools etc but the most basic thing is creating jobs and some social programs just to let people go by.

If construction roads etc is the only message in election, countries like the US will have no election at all because their roads are excellent and hardly do their presidential candidates touts road construction as their main message. They talk about creating jobs, cutting taxes, reducing the national debts etc because that is what people are mainly concern about. Unlike Ghana where a sitting president is only talking about roads, etc as if that is the main hurdle facing our nation.

If there are no jobs, the youth will be hired by the devil just to cause social disturbances like armed robbery etc. Also, the old, pregnant women, children etc should have easy access to hospitals and a whole lot more.

What happened to the "one time premium" promised by NDC? That program is not feasible because it like someone being asked to eat once and no more and how can be possible? Mahama and his government are confused about how to tackle the bull by the horn. Governing requires deep thinking and commonsense. Without these two things, there is no hope on the horizon.

How preposterous for this academic to make such a statement based on polls conducted by a party, in this case the NPP. Even Akua Donkor knows the if NPP does a poll the result will be that NPP will win. But to go on and say that this poll prediction can be changed by rigging etc should not come from a lecturer in political science of all disciplines. Is this the kind of stuff he has been teaching his students? Pathetic. It is sad how partisanship has affected the reasoning of our so called academics. I don't respect their comments on national discourse anymore.
On hospitals, he has decided to ignore the new teaching hospitals including the Legon one which are being built all over to train more doctors and other healthcare professionals. There are many nurses presently without jobs who are waiting to be absorbed by these new institutions. So in my humble opinion this academic is simply being cynical and untruthful in his analysis and should be ignored.

To begin with,the Personality of candidate counts a lot for certain group of electorates.That means,some electorates will look at the charismatic nature and intelligence of the candidate to vote for him.Some many also look at his leadership quality,organisational skills and above all competence to vote for a candidate.Then the other factors are,religion,tribal,partisan and effective campaign strategy.So you see,economy becomes the last in a different perspective that politician must take accounts of it.These are some of the unrefined statements that don't help Nana Addo in élections.Nobody crédits him with competence,leadership skills and intelligence yet they want him to win by chance.If you analyse what Dr Amoako Baah is saying,he didn't say anything good about Nana Addo and his policies.So how do you convince me that he can do better than Prez Mahama?Thank you.
