Dr Truth, in response the EC chair has no other option that to appeal. If she doesn't then her role loses all credibility in which case she might as well resign. Having read the article Amidu like all men of his generation cannot get over the fact that this woman is not falling into the norms of what they expected her to behave as but she is applying the rules of what is expected from any candidate wanting the top job in Ghana. Amidu suggests the EC chair should be showing the applicants how to fill out the application forms, what nonsense. When since has it been that when you apply for a job with a company, do you expect the HR rep to call you and say you made some mistakes in your application form so lets walk you through the form again, no they reject your application as you not being good enough. The fact that the prior EC chair may have accepted previous forms suggests the mediocre we had. Charlotte is doing her job very well and you know this when you start to acquire a lot of critics like she has. We need people like her in all our leadership roles and not passive idiots....

What business has Ndoum nesr the presidency if he and his party cannot fill a common form. He should have employed the services of lawyers to teach him, Ndoum who cannot understand English language before submitting his form. He spent all his time fooling over court suit. He understand the language of court better so he should go and explain the forgery to Supreme Court.If the court rule in his favour, HE SHOULD NOT BLAME THE EC BOSS IF SOMEONE ALSO FORGE THE RESULT TO WIN, SINCE FORGERY IS NOW ACCEPTABLE IN ELECTION ISSUES. AFTER ALL BAWUMIA DID IT AND IS FREE.

What Martin is saying is simple, new candidates come in every season, and it's the duty of the commissioner to direct them what to do and how to doit. She is there for Ghanaians, and should act accordingly.

With all due respect, mention any lawyer worth his salt in Ghana who agrees with the arbitrary decision taken by the Electoral Commission to disqualify the presidential candidates.

I am also informing you today that the Supreme Court will affirm Justice Baffour's decision fully. You can account on that.

Not that it matters to me but the long view of the law is sometimes too complex to the likes of you.

You must cultivate a more learned and dispassionate purview before pronouncing on legalmatters. Trust me, for 100% of the time, you are 180 degree off the mark!.

And it`s unbelievable that Amidu is faulting the EC. Even if we assume for a moment that the rejected candidates made sincere errors on their nomination forms, you couldn’t blame the EC. It`s the responsibility of the candidates alone and no one else to take time to understand the nomination process; the rules are always there for any serious candidate to read and understand. It`s never up to the EC to spoon-feed them. Even if that were so, how far can a teacher go? You don’t blame the teacher when the student refused to learn and instead chose to cheat in exams. Anyway, the fact is that the rejected candidates didn’t make inadvertent errors on their forms because they didn’t know the rules because the EC or whoever didn’t teach them. In all the instances, the candidates knew the rules and wanted to circumvent them, by committing wilful and deliberate acts of fraud – i.e. forgery, misrepresentation, deception etc. How could anyone possibly blame the EC?

The " old school tie " victory Ayikooi Otoo won for his client, Paa Kwesi Nduom , is questionable, which needs to be challenged at the supreme court. The EC,s decision to appeal the verdict is quite important because people wanting to become president of a whole nation do not need to be schooled to fill forms. Ghana is not a " Plutocratic " state so any wealthy "nutshell "person who think they can use the power of wealth to rule must be considered as a " Daydreamer ". Plutocracism is totally off the course as far as international politics is concerned. Imagine Donald Trump who is one of the wealthiest people in the whole wide world, is still struggling behind Mrs Clinton. All what Paa Kwesi Nduom is trying to do is to use his wealth to buy the judges and lawyers to get his disqualification quashed. The virulence of Hamid Amidu is senseless because all what Charlotte Osei is trying to establish in her capacity as the EC boss is what is called "Virtuous circle".
She is facing virulent attacks from most old fashioned politicians, lawyers and judges because they see her courage to stamp authority as rather vindictive but by the grace of the amighty God, this industrious young lady who is endowed with natural beauty, is one day going to be vindicated.

In the actual facts,Amidu is telling ghanaians that corruption is a good thing,forgery is a good idea,oh!I wonder how people pass exams to become lawyers and rise in positions to become Attorney Generals,no wonder there is too much corruption in the judiciary,corruption in judiciary doesn't necessarily means that you influence judgement by money,it is bad judgement,wrong judgement,sympathy judgement,etc..no wonder Anas is having it tough to uproot corruption in our judicial system otherwise how could forgery on documents accepted to be allowed in electoral process?
