The founder and presidential candidate of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, has launched blistering attacks on President Mahama and his wealthy brother, Ibrahim Mahama, accusing them of stealing.

Some online portals recently reported that the multi-millionaire had purchased a 20-million dollar jet for his brother, President Mahama.

However speaking to traders at Kantamanto on Thursday as part of her Greater Accra campaign tour, the former First Lady questioned how the businessman got the money to buy a jet for his brother when he is unable to repay a bank loan.

“What sort of lie is this? How come your brother [Ibrahim Mahama] who was unable to pay a bank loan, managed to get 20 million dollars to buy a plane for you?. It means that while you are stealing, your brother is also stealing, your family is stealing , your friends are also stealing , ” Mrs Rawlings fired.

"So what should Ghanaians do? Let’s vote them out," she charged.

NOTHING !! Contrary to expectations, they are drawing Ghana backwards.

If you care to know, what matters is performance and not the spouse and the number of children you have.

I'll give you an example of a teacher I knew: she had no child, not because she wanted but didn't get: she deliberately decided not to have a husband and a children - yet she taught for 35 years. When I met her, she was already teaching the children of some people she had taught !! She mentioned over 20 doctors/PhD's who had gone through her hands.

Yes, this woman did not have a husband and no children yet she had taught several hundreds of other peoples' children.

Finally, we are not in BC 44: we are in AD 2016.

Performance is all that matters !!

My only question is whether there is a law or requirement that to hold a political position in Ghana, like an MP, you must be a Ghanaian.If there is then, looking at her complexion,in what sense is Ms Hannah Tetteh a Ghanaian? In other words, how has she acquired the Ghanaian surname Tetteh, since her complexion does not look naturally Ghanaian? If it is through marriage, then who is her husband? But if there is no law or requirement regarding the nationality of who can hold a political position in Ghana, then all this question about somebody's marital status is irrelevant.But from a layman's point of view, I think the question of nationality is relevant when it comes to issue of holding political positions in Ghana.
