INFRASTRUCTURES ALONE CANNOT REDUCE POVERTY
If infrastructures alone can reduce poverty in developing countries Nigeria would have been heaven on earth but go and see the level of abject poverty prevailing in that oil rich country. Since the oil boom in the 70s, subsequent Nigerian governments have been investing billions of dollars into infrastructural projects building mega-schools, mega-hospitals, Mega-universities, super-highways and a new modern city called Abuja yet these mega-projects have not reduced poverty in Ogbodo Niger. Infact, it is on record that Nigeria exports the highest number of beggars to the rest of Arica.
So you see, infrastructure alone is not enough to create wealth and jobs. What can create wealth and jobs is sound policies as espoused by Nana and Bawumia.

When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

The government has nowhere ''release the NURSING ALLOWANCE" but it was confirmed to us ( nursing students) that it's a token. Only to compensate students for scrubbed allowance , and delayed loan scheme PROMISED.
It is time we all get involved and work to interpret "other" ambiguous words they defend wrongly. God have mercy. Ghana first

desperate people do desperate things. they said they wont give teachers any allowance because they are not important. I am convinced NDC believes in ignorance and using tribalism to win votes from unsuspecting ignorant people

I think this is a deliberate attempt to deceive these students jux for their votes and after which they withdraw it saying the technical committee that suggested that it shd be scrap to pay way for more intake of students

It's quiet unfortunate that the same Allowance the President decided to abolished,has turn round to Pay because of VOTING. Following NPP decision to restore the allowance, it became obvious that if they fail to restore they might loose VOTE hence the rushing. Can one Govern with such attitude? It seems they've no plan of theirs to follow but just looking up to the Opposition ideas for implementation. The president is jittery in DECISION MAKING.
