  INFRASTRUCTURES ALONE CANNOT REDUCE POVERTY
  If infrastructures alone can reduce poverty in developing countries Nigeria would have been heaven on earth but go and see the level of abject poverty prevailing in that oil rich country. Since the oil boom in the 70s, subsequent Nigerian governments have been investing billions of dollars into infrastructural projects building mega-schools, mega-hospitals, Mega-universities, super-highways and a new modern city called Abuja yet these mega-projects have not reduced poverty in Ogbodo Niger. Infact, it is on record that Nigeria exports the highest number of beggars to the rest of Arica.
  So you see, infrastructure alone is not enough to create wealth and jobs. What can create wealth and jobs is sound policies as espoused by Nana and Bawumia

  Infrastructure helps reduce poverty in the sense that if you can keep the lights all 24/7/365, water running non-stop and sanitation taken care of first and then fill all the potholes. Town planning comes next whereby any building site must conform within the city or town plans with named paved roads and numbers for each and every building. Then factories can function and the people will get jobs and be happy. But a smelly country is a disgrace.

  Nigeria has more quality universities than Ghana. When it comes to infrastructure Nigeria is second to none in West Africa yet the level of poverty and misery in that country is terrible and it appears Mahama is charting the same course. Mahama says he is providing infrastructure yet businesses are collapsing and the majority are becoming jobless. This tells you that infrastructure alone cannot reduce poverty, corruption and stealing.

  I find people like Ayariga, Nduom and Nana Konadu as opportunists and undemocratic bigots who should not be entertained in our developing political space. They lose democratic elections within their mother parties, refuse to concede defeat and break out to found splinter parties. The worst part of it is that they predictably become automatic presidential candidates of their new parties and begin shouting. You cannot buy democratic space and turn around to call democratically elected candidates names. it is outrageous and an affront to genuine democratic practice. The most ridiculous among them is this pig headed and fake Hassan Ayariga. As for Nana Konadu, the least said about her the better. Ndoum is suffering from a complex.
