  I am a member of the UOG alumni, except it is not something one ought to be proud of! I put down my pen after my final exams in 1979 and fled like a wild fire was raging and coming at me from that so called Great Hall. This university teaches little, enlightens less, and produces the most retrograde elitist, and unimaginative fools, bar none. Its products have run what was once a promising country into the ground; sold the country down the river, plundered its resources and turned the legacy of Nkrumah into a cesspool of corruption, with nothing more than shell of a banana republic after 60 years of independence. To put it in perspective, compare what the elites of South Korea, and similar republics which had a similar economy as Ghana. There has not been one, not one, significant alumni who has made a difference in the lives of any Ghanaian, or achieved anything of significance on the world stage! At least, KNUST can boast of the lame and feckless international and equally unimaginative bureaucrat, Kofi Annan. Legon can't. Not one.
