Isn't it very ironic that a party that is accusing the EC of plans to rig the elections is itself as corrupt as they come? This party took the EC to court to fight the disqualification of its presidential candidate; meanwhile we are just learning that it doesn't have a constituency office in no least a constituency like Takoradi. If this party cannot afford to organise itself in Takoradi of all places, how did they qualify as a political party in the first place? The political parties law stipulates among other things, the presence of parties in every constituency before they could be issued with a certificate to engage in active politics. Now we are not the wiser having being informed that the PPP doesn't have a constituency office at Takoradi. This admission alone is enough grounds for its disqualification. When will our laws start to work?
